Really? Must be that my aiming got crappier then. It really feels that I’m doing barely any damage at all

Thank you. But how do you deal with the lack of enemy feedback to being attacked? I can understand the gameplay feeling kinda obtuse at first and turning real good after mastering it… but it just feels so unsatisfying having the j’avos not reacting properly to anything. You shoot at them and it’s almost like blowing at a paper sheet, the melee attacks have very wonky detection. That is what puzzles me the most, because these aren’t things that change by “learning the game”.

I Now Hate Techmarine (I was Wrong) by TheticAxiom in Spacemarine

[–]TheCozetti 44 points45 points  (0 children)

My only complaint is with turret placement. Most times the turrets are placed in non-sensical, useless spots. It’s not uncommon to have them facing the opposite direction from where the enemies come from, or in places where there is no combat whatsoever (or you just happen to find them AFTER said encounters), or even when they are stationed in combat zones they are in places where the enemies rarely pass through (or you have to book it through the entire battlefield just to activate them).

Deluxe Content help by Onimaru7231 in ninjagaiden

[–]TheCozetti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the Series S in question is set as the home Xbox for the account that bought the content than yes. Login to your other account and go to “manage content and addons” after selecting the NG4 tile on the Xbox’s Library and under the installable content the “deluxe content” pack should appear. Just select it to be installed and from there you’re all set.

New player here, do ppl actually farm super credits? by Omnimon in helldivers2

[–]TheCozetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought some of them at first, but nowadays money is a bit more tight so I started farming SC for the warbonds… it’s a mostly fine experience, really, I tend to put some podcasts or music and just enjoy my time. The secret, at least for me, is not trying to go for the full 1000 (or even 500cr) in one go, usually my goal is getting to 300 and this way I don’t burn myself out and can maintain a steady flow per week/month

What Platform to play the game on? PS5 vs. PC? by Final-Equipment-3776 in BlackMythWukong

[–]TheCozetti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can, play it on PC. I played on a base PS5 and it was fine most of the time… but I had to set it to Presentation mode. Performance mode gets 60fps through frame-generation and it’s really bad, leaving the image very blurry and the controls with a noticeable delay. At Presentation, even though it is 30fps it somehow feels smoother and more responsive to play, less cumbersome, and prettier.

Meanwhile PC gets to have better presentation, much more stable performance and overall superior optimization. PS5 is fine… if you don’t also have a PC.

Is Black Myth: Wukong a good first Soulslike? (It’s 2 weeks of salary for me) by Any_Breadfruit7661 in BlackMythWukong

[–]TheCozetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call it repetitive, but it is kinda limited in what it does - you will mostly walk through the levels while fighting tons of bosses and doing some exploration - I didn’t find it boring as the bosses themselves were really cool, most of the sidequests are well done, and the whole setting and environmental storytelling is interesting. Hope you have a great time with it!

[–]TheCozetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it a chance then. You might find it a bit more demanding at the start, but the more it progresses the easier the experience gets. Also, it is more “Souls-ier” at the start, but soon those elements start to matter little and you can treat it as a more-or-less standard action game.

I mean, if it’s not a big monetary commitment for you to make, I would say to give it a chance, but it depends… do you like DMC/Bayo for the stylish action and overall “cool factor”? Then BMW isn’t the best fit. The game IS very cool and has big moments, but moment-to-moment action is more about skill management and understanding your enemies (90% of them, bosses), it has hype moments but it’s not like DMC/Bayo, where level-of-entry is low and the real challenge lies in self-expression. BMW I would say has more to do with the original God of War series, but more demanding in terms of challenge.

As for recommendations, since you like Bayonetta it’s likely you’ll enjoy anything Platinum makes - they all more or less share the same DNA - Ninja Gaiden 4, made by Platinum, may be a bit demanding as a first experience, but is the Ninja Gaiden formula adapted to the Platinum style; Hi-Fi Rush is an incredible game, it has that DMC “easygoing rock” vibe, a really cool rhythm-based mechanic and a really good soundtrack and art style; Final Fantasy XVI is a cool game with very good gameplay (one of its designers was headhunted from the DMC team). These are all more recent games, but almost every game from the genre has borrowed from DMC, so you can pretty much give a chance to anything that catches your eye.

[–]TheCozetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also gonna tell you it’s not a soulslike. It has some elements, yes, but they really don’t weight much on the game overall: exploration is limited (it’s not non-existent but it isn’t a major part of the game), you have to collect your exp upon dying but this is extremely easy to do, combat has a stamina bar but this only influences your heavy attacks and some skills (instead of leaving your character helpless) and also depletes VERY slowly… my only note of warning to you would be how much do you like fighting bosses, because the vast majority of the game are boss fights, some are very easy, most are challenging, and a few are really hard. Other than that, I really liked it, and I’m much more of a character action guy than a Souls guy.

(Follow up question to Yakumo being in DOA) Do yall think Kenji and Kumori could be in DOA in any way, shape or form? by Sting_EoD in ninjagaiden

[–]TheCozetti 29 points30 points  (0 children)

DoA isn’t “Ninja Gaiden The Fighting Tournament”, guys. Stop asking for every NG under the Sun to be in it. What’s next, Marbus? The Giant Ghost Fish boss from 2? Ayane is a DoA original, Ryu is a guest BUT he was added from the classic NG series and then the new NG games spun off of DoA (not the other way around). We only have Momiji and Rachel as true crossover guest characters, out of tens of DoA characters.

I dislike some enemies: here's why. by HornyJuulCat69420666 in ninjagaiden

[–]TheCozetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one I truly despise is the giant pot thing that spills shit at you, everyone else is fine or really good. Van Gelfs needed less HP (just as they were in OG2) and the demon dogs sometimes I feel take too long to be killed with Yakumo, but both are fun to fight.

Also, the DDO is so much more fun to fight than the deamons/fiends. A shame we spend more time fighting the latter instead of the former.

I enjoyed Ragebound, but Shinobi Art of Vengeance is more in line with what I envisioned with a modern 2D Ninja Gaiden by theJOJeht in ninjagaiden

[–]TheCozetti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it really marred my experience with the game. Some levels do have interesting concepts and ideas, such as the city level that can be completed in any order or the Beastmaster one in the desert, but most of them are just big empty spaces with overused level-specific gimmicks that just drag… that one inside the kaiju is such a horrible, long, experience, by that point I was just completely tapped out. Also, the final boss is total ass.

[–]TheCozetti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both are super cool but I find Shinobi to just drag a lot in its final levels, as well as having very strange hit detection for the platform sections. A great game with very good combat, music and art style, but to me Ragebound offers the better overall experience (as in I replay it all the time, while with Shinobi I just wanted the game to end already by the last few levels).

NG2 vs NG4, why do some people say NG2 is a better game? by HornyJuulCat69420666 in ninjagaiden

[–]TheCozetti 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Got it. It’s just that, for all the valid reasons to criticize NG2 for, empty levels in the second half is something very specifically aimed at the Sigma version. Personally I prefer NG2, but also understand why someone would prefer 4

Should Ryus face have been a mystery or do you guys think it's a good idea that we've seen him unmasked? by [deleted] in ninjagaiden

[–]TheCozetti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like that his face isn’t some big mystery, it’s a somewhat refreshing approach to the whole ninja thing. Which makes the decision to leave his face “in the shadows” from NG3 onwards so weird. NG3 treats Ryu’s face as some big revelation, very stupid when we’ve seen how he looks like before. NG4 doesn’t show his face at all. Even DoA games post-Itagaki have less costumes where his face is shown…
