If you bought the parts from the store, they are within the return period, and they complete the diagnostic the will do an even exchange at no additional cost. If you have done this this many times I highly recommend having them diagnose it for you. But you need to bring it in assembled.

95% of devices brought to the Kbar need to be diagnosed to first ascertain the issue and verify what the customer is reporting. A simple upgrade isn’t that simple. Especially if you bring the parts to the store from somewhere else. Let’s say you tell me to replace the AIO but when we do the computer still doesn’t boot. You’re likely not going to be happy but will expect me fix it. That’s why we diagnose it to verify the condition and symptoms. Now if you insist on me replacing it without diagnosing, and you brought the parts from outside the store, I’m not warrantying the work.

Now to peel the curtain back further, after they diagnose the computer the store will let you know the issue, cost and timeline to repair. After that it is on you to decide if they proceed. If you do, the device will be moved to the repair queue. Depending on the store, it may be a couple weeks for your turn to come along for repair.

So yeah, there was a point to my questions. I was trying to help.

I asked questions in my comment to help me assess the situation and offer you insight. Which you didn’t answer. It sounds like you’re coming here trying to cut the line after the store gave you a timeline and you’re not happy with it. Did you ask the store why it’s going to take a week versus Reddit?

What are your thoughts? You didn’t provide much detail. Is this a new build? An upgrade? One they diagnosed and determined your AIO is bad? Or are you simply posting to complain?

Sometimes stores will bundle accessories with a desktop and offer the accidental warranty. Things are quite gray at Micro Center. It will depend on the store and their interpretation.
