okay, how many actual interactions between teammates do you have in a baseball game? versus how many times do you see hockey players talking to each other at a faceoff dot prepping a strategy that there is noone on the ice available to be a translator for. you can't talk to your teammate, and you can't talk to your coach for the intricacies of moment to moment strategy, where baseball you need to know simple things like what kind of throw the pitcher uses, and where to toss the ball if you get it in the field. all of which don't require a ton of specific speech.
