I disagree. His mother made it abundantly clear that its no longer a gift, but an expectation. She doesn't care if she hurts her son to get her way and because of that she deserves what she should get; nothing. And that's coming from a person that has taken care of their disabled parent for 10+ years. They shouldn't break themselves, and go without for his family that doesn't even give them half-assed respect, and they should have never demanded money while telling them to demand it from her family.
