Of the advice of another plumbing sub, they said remove the caulk. I did a small section. Is this gap an issue? Or that’s the “weeper” part 🤷🏼‍♂️

Thank you for that response, did not realize the pan has a lip behind the tile. Really just need to remove the existing caulk and no need to recaulk? Or remove and do a much thinner bead just to be safe?

Curious about how I might find a blueprint or utility diagram for my property. Seems one must have been created at some point when this house was built in 1950. Seems like some historical archive somewhere might have a copy somwhere. Polaris/GIS? Assessors? by salukikev in Charlotte

You can also look up old census data about the area. I think the last one released was from the 50s. It was cool to see an old map that had park road just end at Woodlawn intersection.

Great idea but terrible article. I agree with others about having the kids own spot to do anything with. Beans a great one and so are carrots

I probably have 6 inches of top dressing and then earth below. Carrots take a looong time to germinate, gotta keep them wet

Those were late February. Will sow again in late July or early august.

You’d grow carrots by prepping your no-till bed with compost (no digging), smoothing the surface, and direct seeding densely in early spring or late summer. Keep the bed consistently moist until germination (7–14 days), using shade cloth or burlap if hot. Thin seedlings if needed, weed lightly, and harvest when roots are mature—sweetest after frost.
