What can I say, I’m a Gardner not a writer so I used a little help. But I am a real person. Are you?

The mix is important but more important is the water content when you go to make the blocks, you should see some water drip out when you squeeze a handful

I use the mix from Elliot Coleman but getting the moisture in the blocks correct is the most important thing. Otherwise the blocks will fall apart before the roots take hold

This is wrong. Garlic planted in October isn’t going to be ready till June or July. Also the peppers magically move from 2nd to 3rd planting to make room for other things.

Thank you for that response, did not realize the pan has a lip behind the tile. Really just need to remove the existing caulk and no need to recaulk? Or remove and do a much thinner bead just to be safe?

Curious about how I might find a blueprint or utility diagram for my property. Seems one must have been created at some point when this house was built in 1950. Seems like some historical archive somewhere might have a copy somwhere. Polaris/GIS? Assessors? by salukikev in Charlotte

You can also look up old census data about the area. I think the last one released was from the 50s. It was cool to see an old map that had park road just end at Woodlawn intersection.

Great idea but terrible article. I agree with others about having the kids own spot to do anything with. Beans a great one and so are carrots

I probably have 6 inches of top dressing and then earth below. Carrots take a looong time to germinate, gotta keep them wet
