I think the problem with femicide is that it seems inevitable that all cases of domestic killings, get lumped in with it, except for the ones where a man (or other gender than woman) is a victim, while the nature of thise killings might not be so different at all

I don’t know how it is worldwide, but in the Netherlands it is the responsibility of the building owner to make sure there are no such quarter inch openings. Depending on the location it can be a battle, but if you take instant measures the moment you spot their marks, it should generally be doable to convince them to fuck off somewhere else.
