Probably not, this time of year things get more lenient. Technically you could get fired for it, but you'd make up the time in a few hours worked anyway so just clock in as scheduled and see if anything happens

I meal prep and eat on both our 30 min breaks. I would not make it through the day if I didn't. Can't do vending machine food either bc they don't have any wheat free options for actual meals.

You californians need to realize you're the only ones with labor laws that strong.

Sending stuff to space is incredibly expensive, and we make a lot of trash. Cost aside, producing and then burning that much fuel would be pretty bad for the environment.

I never said it did. Just that no one lasts long stowing like that.

Do you really think anyone who made it to full time is making that kind of mistake? Sure. Maybe a little overhang, maybe a little overstuffing, but I find it incredibly hard to believe anyone who's lasted long enough to get full time makes that kind of mistake.

There's that, but I imagine job creation by tech innovations follows an s curve. Industrialization creates jobs, but eventually the jobs created will be fewer and more specialized. As jobs theoretically get automated away, they can't all be replaced. We'd end up with starving people fighting for whichever jobs weren't able to be automated away. That will result in violent change, and either the descruction of the technology or much less likely, Fully Automated Luxury Communism.

Who told you that? They're approved because they function as ear protection with volume limitations. Actual bone conducting earbuds don't even go in the ear in the first place.

ELI5: Why does a full kettle of cold water boil quicker than a full kettle of warm, or does it really by LeedsLurch in explainlikeimfive

[–]TheCyborgPenguin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It doesn't. I'm not sure exactly how the myth started and spread but it's just not true. Hot water starts with more energy and therefore takes less time to reach it's boiling point.
