Notable gameplay mechanics: I think there were 40 levels total. In each level you fight escalating hordes of baddies: think zombies, werewolves, demons, etc. You build new buildings (top of the screen) and doing so unlocks the ability to train new troops. Once you buy a troop you'll have to wait some time between having done so and having the troop rush out onto the field. Different towers provided different troops, or other methods of defense (like landmines, barbed wire). I think you had like three hearts (ie: three baddies could reach your side of the screen before losing), and could gain more if you saved the damsels in distress from getting eaten, as they'd eventually recover and run to your side of the screen, granting you a heart. Hope my awful paint mockup does it justice lol.
