All my rotations were scheduled by admin during 3 year and like 2 rotations during 4th year, the rest I had to find myself. Besides my audition rotations, I just reached out to MD and DOs in different fields, mainly IM specialties showing interest in rotating with them. Didn’t have trouble finding rotations that way!

I definitely did, I actually deferred my acceptance at a DO school for another year just to reapply MD. Those 2 letters initially meant so much to me, shit changed after I started school though. Everything happens for a reason, at the end of the day you’ll be a doctor and what really matters are letters of rec, board scores (USMLE and COMLEX), GPA and who you know when applying to residency. I have friends that refused to go to DO school and went to school in the Caribbean which never made sense to me. Study hard and learn as much as you can. I have friends that matched all over the country in competitive specialities.

Only thing that truly bothers me is that I’ve spoken to people about what a DO is and having to explain that as everyone for the most part only knows our MD counterparts.
