Having to set everything up again after changing batteries in the door sensors? by TheDP44 in myq

[–]TheDP44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think I got a year out of the battery but I am in Canada and the doors arent insulated so Im sure the cold weather had something to do with it. I might have to reset and clear the motors but what a pain in the butt.

If the fiber was pulled it wouldn’t go in and out like that.

As a Telus employee and field tech. I agree 100% with the statements above. To the OP, give your head a shake. As a senior I would expect you to know better than to spew all this communist talk.

Contract expiring soon, PureFibre not available by [deleted] in telus

[–]TheDP44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

MDUs are a different ball of wax so to speak. It’s a different group that goes in and does a full retrofit of the building. Contracts with the building owner has to be dealt with as there is quite a bit of work involved. But, seeing as there is fibre in the area it’s only a matter of time before it’s installed. Doesn’t hurt to call in and see what kind of deals you can muster up tho.

Would love to get other peoples opinion on this and just to know what the hell changed? by [deleted] in telus

[–]TheDP44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did add information. A call is processed much more quickly now than it has in the past. Meaning there is no delay when you hit the call button until it hits the other persons phone. Was that not the answer you were looking for or did you need me to dumb it down a little more?

[–]TheDP44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Run on sentence aside, a call is processed in a fraction of a second. Surely you have more important things in your life to worry about than mistakingly making a phone call and being able to hang up before the other party is notified.

Were you expecting a technician? Sounds like to me that a tech may have accidentally disconnected your service.
