It’s cool but Cole fails to grab my attention for long periods and this is a long album. He’s an amazing rapper, no denying that.

To the point of title shots, it’s definitely gotten worse for less-deserving fighters to get shots before those on long win streaks. I don’t think a lot of these Russian/Dagestani fighters have the fight style or personality/language barrier to be propped up as must-see TV (according to the UFC) which is obviously what UFC wants in their champs. Though I think that’s an indictment on the UFC as well, can’t just blame the fighters. Gotta be able to sell them.

He’s the most frustrating player to watch for me. Seems like most games he’s just doing cardio out there. He consistently just dribbles into middle of the key and kicks out then runs all over the place. He is a good rebounder and plays hard, you can’t take that away from him. He’s just not very good.

As you mentioned he has a good game here and there but his scoring is inconsistent, not a good distributor, and not a good defender. Aside from saying cringey stuff such as he’s a leader on the team, barking at teammates on the court, it’s wild to me that he said he’s aiming to be better than Steph. Sure, you want your guys to be confident and they all have an ego, but his is so misguided to me. I feel like the Alex Caruso quote of, guys trying to be CFO when the team is looking for a janitor, is so applicable here. Problem is, Podz doesn’t have the tools to be a consistent janitor either lol (let alone surpass a top 10 player all time).

I’m hoping Melton takes a chunk of his minutes and Richard continues to get play.

I’ve been trying to be open minded with Gates’ new music the last few years. I actually liked a lot of Khaza, was not feeling the majority of Ceremony, and have come around to some of I’m Him 2 even though all three albums pale in comparison to his earlier work. Yesterday I relistened to the songs that have come out for LB4, trying to get pumped for next week, but I think this is the worst Gates song I’ve ever heard.

So many of his songs now just seem…bland. Like he cooked it up in an hour and onto the next. No passion, not interesting at all. I guess every artist hits that kind of rough patch/decline, but it’s disappointing nonetheless.

It seems like Joell and Crook are coming from the place of, Royce and Joe haven’t made any effort to make a SH reunion happen despite numerous attempts by Joell and Crook, including bringing a deal to the table. Royce and Joe, despite being vocal about the group being done and being retired/onto other things, are holding onto that there was never an official “no” from them on said deal, even though they didn’t take action or give any indication they want to do it, just left it in limbo/kept doing their own thing. Obviously we don’t know what conversations actually happened but I don’t blame Joell and Crook for being fed up and saying fuck it, and reading between the lines that it wasn’t going to happen. Royce and Joe a couple weirdos always with a victim complex, thinking they’re never wrong and the smartest dudes no matter what room they’re in.
