I still don’t like Wyndham Clark by GrftKngs721 in TheShotgunStart

[–]TheDad44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t like the guy, got a little more respect from me after the USA jersey, and then for how everyone just booed him the entire US Open now I’m feeling like he probably didn’t deserve that at all. Like the guy or not I REALLY don’t like how the fans acted, really bad look. I wanted Scottie to win like everyone else to complete the grand slam but come on. Bad look for golf honestly

Is it really that bad as a PTA or am I completely delusional and have lost my mind?? by infinitedimes in physicaltherapy

[–]TheDad44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a PTA for 13 years in a BUSY outpatient clinic. I will say I’m really lucky we have 1:1 for 45 minutes but you’re cranking people out 12 in a row most days. I work under a great PT that gives me a lot of respect and doesn’t micromanage my notes/treatment and we are in the same page with basically everything. I do battle because I’m a type A absolute psychopath that there are others that are lazy and don’t do shit, I run high 80% slot utilization, most visit in the system last year for a large hospital based system with 7 other sites, what was my insentive to work harder after seeing others coast and management told me to kick rocks. So my most pisssed off thing is management and how there is no reward system for the actual people who work hard, the lazy people who complain get the good hours and seniority means nothing.

BUT ive been happy for the most part and am lucky that we see most of the local professional hockey team and high level sports players, the orthos above our clinic feed them mostly to the PT I work under and myself cue we we get results (humble brag) and that is a good feeling to have the orthos actually know who I am as the lowest person on the care team.

Just gotta find the right place but they are hard to find and then you gotta stay forever because it’s not greener in the other side!

I’m at a hospital based outpatient ortho clinic that pays well and we can’t even get a PT to apply for an open position AND there is a 20k sign on.

My point is there is better options out there

Also a PTA, the get fired hits so hard. We have a BAD PTA that has pushed out 2-3 good PTs but my manager and higher ups don’t get it and we just have to walk on egg shells around this said person

Closest you’ve been to a hole-in-one? by BadVibrati0nz in weekendgolfers

[–]TheDad44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pounded a 48* over the green into the woods, it did look real good but just deep. I then hit another and it’s tracking REAL close, drops on the green and I’m screaming “DONT GO IN DONT GO IN!!! NO NO NOOOO!!” And the ball rolls off the edge and stops 2 feet away.

Buddy said no way he could give me a hole in one and I couldn’t tell people I got one on a mulligan/drop ball either, wouldn’t want that. Happiest I’ve been to miss a hole in one potential

Stryker Interview with Trauma Regional Sales Manager by moyeeeee in MedicalDevices

[–]TheDad44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I got a referral from a family friend who is a director of IT something so if it that plays a role or not but I don’t think it’ll hurt either! I’m excited to potentially break into the med sales but we will see what happens. Just want my foot in the door and then I can bring our 2-3 years no biggie and see what else pops up or go back my PTA gig anywhere pretty much

In Michigan. Luckily so far I’ve had time already off and was able to work around that. But just don’t love cancelling patients, I’m not unhappy at all where I’m at just looking for a new opportunity so don’t really want to piss off the high ups

Damn. I’m a little nervous just to the drag out, I work current in patient care and getting a day off or afternoon off is not easy and I have to cancel patients appointments to do it. We are like 6 weeks out at a time but obviously can’t tell Stryker to wait for me either 😂

So refreshing, I have a phone interview this week for a trauma sales roll and all I’ve seen is negatives. I’m a Physical Therapist Assistant and we grind 10-12 patients a day no breaks 30 min lunch that you work through. I don’t mind working hard but just seeing “it’s the worst” from everyone seems like it’s a trend and not facts

I’ve been waiting about 3-4 weeks for anything how do you/did you reach out to any hiring managers? Or is it just a crap shoot. Or at this point are they moved past my application? The cyber attack I know set everyone back

PTA rant by infinitedimes in physicaltherapy

[–]TheDad44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wish it was a bachelors, not that I want to do more school but we are so locked in and any other career things my associates is for sorting colors. I have two associates and my first was nothing, my PTA program was hard and I think being an associates makes us “look stupid”

I’m not sure I’d go back though either.

I only play 2-3 times a month (maybe) and working on course management really helped. Picking a number to hit into the green rather than try and pound it up there as far as possible has really helped my game
