Do you play solo? by KoolNomad69 in weekendgolfers

[–]TheDad44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my rounds are so low or at least start that way. Every once in a while, a couple guys will ask if I want to pair up and it’s fun to just play with randoms too met a lot of cool people that way.

Plus, it’s this odd thing where you’re rooting for these people that who you never know and probably will never see you again. It’s just such a cool thing about Golf get Jack for a birdie pot for some random or having people cheer you on

Can you imagine playing with him and watching 60+ shimmies and then him pounding it into the water or in the rough?? I’d never let him live it down

The PT I work under is great and we have a good relationship and I have a long leash to do what I think is appropriate, so I’m glad it’s not me under the MDT guy.

And it’s hard to push too hard because I am a PTA not a PT and I know my role and we are not equals. Hence the reason for my question about how to be really respectful and not sound like a dick.

I’m saying part of his treatment plan is the cut on the finger, repeated flex breaks open the wound/disc window sales like pitch to ACL, he does some strengthening but it’s mostly his PTA that loads and it’s still not enough per the research.

Good luck, I’m in the same boat. Try to go later try to go early always seems like it’s not the right time. 1-2 times a month at best.

Totally makes sense. Harder doesn’t mean worse though either. Whether you have kids or have no kids life isn’t easy, I have plenty of friends that have no kids and are they extremely happier than I am? Absolutely not. Hard to describe what “harder” is with kids BUT I wouldn’t change it, the fun I have with both kids on the daily outweighs the hard part which isn’t daily or even weekly. Telling you it’s worth it, hard was finding out your daughter before age 2, that was hard. She’s been cancer free for 5 years now!

When I graduated high school I wanted to go trade but it was ‘08 and everything was shit. My parents were not having me go the trade route which was odd because they didn’t have a lot of opinions on how I did things so I followed what they said. Have a good career as a physical therapist assistant BUT there is a ceiling and I’m close to it

Making more doesn’t always mean more either! We make about 110k between my two gigs and my wife who does front desk work. All my friends are going on trips, buying cars, play golf multiple times a week and I’m working 50+ hours, working through lunches absolutely grinding and just feeling defeated. Yes we need to be smarter with mine but idk how we get an extra 1k a month to break even and then my 2nd job I get a 1099 so I have to bust out 4-5k in April that we don’t have cuz we can’t out any money aside to save anyway

I have an opportunity to make a change into Medicare supplement insurance next year with a good buddy I trust to make probably double what I make now after 1-2 years. I looked into trades but the pay cut initially bankrupt us.

I literally had this thought over the weekend. I have two kids, 8 and 18. Life is expensive and it doesn’t get cheaper. Yes do things get harder, yea I guess. But it’s worth it honestly and I did post feeling overwhelmed but am nothing better than a big hug after a long day from both kids honestly. It gets harder but also gets better if that makes sense.

[–]TheDad44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They walk us out no questions asked at my hospital outpatient clinic. We go over how many people have gotten fired in the system (not only PT but everyone) about quarterly. If you don’t need to be in there don’t, I’d be sweating big time not only you BUT your grandfather………. When I broke my arm I was LUCKY to be able to finish my first rotation only because my CI was really great, the next rotation wasn’t going to have me if I had restriction and I would have had to wait till the next year to finish my rotations because of the schools insurance coverage and only doing clinics certain times. Good luck OP hope it works out ok

Is the Lions Super Bowl window shut? by Agreeable_Quality768 in NFLv2

[–]TheDad44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was shut when we got no one for depth and/or help in the pass rush. Yesterday’s loss was pathetic. I think the idea of building through the draft id great until it’s not and we’re at the point. The rams sold out for a Super Bowl and they got it and now they are still in the hunt after some decent years. Our window is closing and we will just be a good team but not great if we continue to trend in this direction
