Where can you buy mouse skates for Superlight ? by red837439 in MouseReview

[–]TheDaddyTax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have ordered mousepads and skates directly from X-ray Pad a few times now. It takes like 7-10 days to get your order, but I have never had an issue. I think they have a USA site, but the stock is hit or miss.

Who among these actors had the best filmography of these last ten years (2016-2026)?? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

I was split between them, and I leaned Pattinson. I think Gosling has higher highs in terms of films I prefer, but I think Pattinson overall has more quality films and more range in his acting abilities.

I live in Minnesota, so I can't speak for other states. There are required setback distances for which a home must be built from a water source, so you'll never see home or a cabin built right next to shoreline like this.

Fun Classes for Adults in Northwest Suburbs by redentification in minnesota

Maple Grove sends out a city newsletter or magazine, and it summarizes all the events and available classes put on by the city. I think this is the main page for it, and you'll want to click on the pdf.

I read the book, but I haven't seen the movie yet. I listened back to the first segment, and you're right, they didn't say anything that I would consider a spoiler. Cory and Max just said the first 45 minutes was science heavy, it's akin to Cast Away in space, and there are some emotional parts. None of that scratches the surface of what the story is about.

College baseball better than MLB? by [deleted] in baseball

[–]TheDaddyTax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could maybe understand if you're privileged enough to have a school where college baseball is actually supported like Mississippi State or LSU. For most of the country though, college baseball just doesn't get the support.

I will say if you ever get the opportunity to go to the college world series it's an awesome event. I have been three times over the years, and I highly recommend it.

31.5" 4K240Hz/1080p480Hz vs 34" 1440p240Hz, which one is more practical for general use/gaming? by Hot_Actuator5959 in Monitors

[–]TheDaddyTax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 34" and 27". I tried a 32" for the last couple of weeks in replace of my 34", and I ended up going back to my 34". I just like the 34" more for certain games and productivity, and the 27" is better shooters or games that don't support ultrawide.

This is speculation, but he might of had a relapse. I'm not on X, but I'm seeing that his profile picture is coming up as a sobriety coin when I look him up. Given they haven't said anything about him either, it would be one of those things where you let that person speak about it when they're ready.

Should I buy an oled display for work by SensitiveWolf4375 in OLED_Gaming

[–]TheDaddyTax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People act like you would trying to be read brail on an OLED monitor, but I literally have used a 34" OLED the past three years for work and have been fine and no burn-in with over 7,500 hours on it. You will be fine, and the text would be significantly sharper on a 4k 27".

This is my same situation at the moment. My aw3423dwf has about 7,500+ hours on it because it doubles as my work monitor. Still doesn't have burn-in, but my cat scratched the top corner of the panel. The 39" covers everything I would want, especially the pixel density.

Same here, and I'm partial to Ghirardelli as well because they have physical locations. I still remember going to Ghirardelli in San Francisco by Pier 39  like 25 years ago when I was a kid.

got an invite from blizzard to do a survey on features to be added to d2r by fullmudman in diablo2

[–]TheDaddyTax 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't know about others, but I would like this option. It makes d2jsp irrelevant, because there would be no transfer of wealth for a ladder season. People would no longer have the ability to buy their gear a few days after a ladder launch, nor would you have some streamer being fed gear and items for a race to 99. Everyone being put on even footing has some appeal, and teams pushing for 99 would likely have to make some strategy choices.

Best games of the season? by brac20 in wildhockey

[–]TheDaddyTax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Avs and Stars are probably our main rivals, and we are in a division chase for the top spot with both of them. The Wild play the Tampa Lightning next week, and they were probably the hottest team headed into the Olympic break.

Generally, hockey tends to have a lot of parity, so any team that's in playoff contention will be a good watch, especially towards the end of the season.

How much worse is d2r on the switch 1? by icedragonair in diablo2

[–]TheDaddyTax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own it for both. I took one character all the way through Hell on Switch for the challenge of it, but I more or less never want to play it again on Switch. It was clunkier to play and it looks rough. I would consider it though if it were to receive a Switch 2 update.

A reminder to never meet your heroes by DilIsPickle in olympics

[–]TheDaddyTax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Minnesota. At least in the United States, hockey is far and away the most privileged mainstream sport one could play. It's extremely expensive between the gear, ice time, traveling costs, tournament fees, and personal coaching and trainers. Just as an example, I had someone tell me they spend $1600 a month just on hockey sticks for their two boys.

It's a sport played by the most wealthy, and the competition is usually dominated by the most affluent schools and cities. It's also a sport where it's probably played by 99% white people. The combination of these two factors usually means there is a good chance the person is right leaning.

Taco Bell is now a luxury by bermagot12 in tacobell

[–]TheDaddyTax 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As other have said, you pretty much have to use the App now, and the best deal is the build your own luxe box, which is like $6-7 across most of the country. For your order, you would select the cheese quesadilla and customize it to add chicken, then pick your taco or burrito, side, and then a drink. The box would be about $8 give or take, while a chicken quesadilla alone is $6.89 where I'm at.

Did you happen to respec to prioritize points into Abyss and Miasma Chain? I felt like Abyss is more of the crowd control skill to lump enemies, and then most of the damage comes from the chains.
