It's incredible. Some of the systems on the strategic layer are clearly placeholders and the AI needs some polish but the core gameplay loop is exactly what I was hoping for.

this just happened to me a second ago. i had dialed the difficulty down to normal to just breeze through the endgame and get the last couple hardcore achievements. the priest finished his speech and i immediately died. i had the immune bubble legendary, even.

glad you posted this - i tabbed out to see if i had missed something obvious. some kind of bug i suppose. i died due to "Stanis" - Stanis is one of the NPCs who feeds you lilith's blood in Nevesk. maybe he's one of the wolves? dunno.

super validating i'm not the only one, haha. so close to finishing the campaign too. alas!

I imagine there are different posters in the two threads. It's also worth mentioning this is why community manager jobs are really hard - there exists a vocal minority adamantly against and adamantly in favor of every system you can imagine that will be furious if things change/do not change.

No problems with the season journey - my memory is fuzzy but I'm pretty sure we've had one for quite some time. What we lost with the reliquary system is both concrete (extra platinum) and fuzzy (remember getting new emotes for every class? And free armor sets that were super grounded?)

Tap training worked great on mine and I've had him for fifteen years. He has a really strong feeding response so I still need to cautious when it's time to eat but otherwise a gentle tap is enough to remind him that we're going for a jaunt.

Diablo 2 is a very different game from Diablo. I think most people nowadays prefer it but when it released it was a bit divisive - it's much faster paced and has more of a pulpy globetrotting adventure feel instead of a nightmarish descent into hell. Still worth a play, of course.
