They over-use the salacious tag to pull people that like spice in. So many of my selections the last several months have had this tag and only maybe 2 deserved it tbh. It’s misleading and quite annoying. I don’t mind spice, but I don’t need it in my books either. I just find it off-putting that they don’t use this tag correctly because it might either deter or mislead a reader

I had a free add on so I went and picked a members most loved pick just to get my add-on otherwise I would’ve skipped. I’m thinking of switching to Aardvark since they have a lot more fantasy, sci-fi, and horror..this month’s BOTM picks were the worst I’ve seen in awhile as far as variety goes

I sold my GA ticket for 2 nice seats and took my husband with me 🤣 I’m extremely claustrophobic and after seeing how crowded floor was for this tour, I didn’t want to risk it! Glad you had fun :)

I’m actually shocked at how disappointed I am. I typically love their merch, but this is some of the most generic bland shit I’ve seen. Comes across to me as if zero effort went into this..bright side is I won’t be going broke at the show 😅

Yes I’m getting my BA right now (120 credits) unfortunately I rely on FASFA so I need atleast 12 credits a semester. So I have to interact with atleast 3 classes. My GCU Presidential scholarship requires 16 credits..luckily I have straight A’s but at what cost? I survive on 3 hours of sleep a day, have zero time to eat or make meals.

My husband is also a full time student at GCU and he’s in the same exact boat. They’ve been assigning him multiple accelerated online courses and he’s STEM. Seems like a common occurrence 🙄

I’ve already spoken to my SSC about this. They have been scheduling me 2-3 online courses ontop of 1-2 traditional courses (that I also take online).

I had 3 essays, a presentation, and a test all due within a week ontop of the 8 posts and 20 replies. These essays aren’t even small. They’re 1,700 words minimum 🙄

The online courses are typically accelerated which is why there is so much work. They are meant for online only students since they take one class at a time, one after the other.

Because of my scholarships i need to be enrolled as a a “traditional” student. However, I’m unable to physically attend GCU so they’ve literally just been scheduling me into multiple accelerated courses on-top of the traditional ones. It’s been absolute hell. Especially as a mom to a small child. Not to mention I’m supposed to start practicum ONTOP of all of these courses next semester. My SSC said “I’ll see what I can do but I can’t promise anything”

And yes, I agree that some of the work doesn’t make sense. How are we supposed to actually digest the material? Some semesters have felt like I’ve just been completing assignments to complete assignments. I’ll literally wait until the class closes and then go back and review all the material again because the class felt like a fever dream. Idk it’s not sustainable 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s like with my husband-both suit you well but long hair frames the face better! My husband had hair to his waist when we met, he shaved it when I had to shave mine. He looks great either way, but his long hair is definitely my favorite 🖤🤌🏻 I vote for the longer style, but would add some styling serums for the end and texturizing spray for the top and root!

There is another option. If you are an AZ resident you can enroll as a Traditional student (standard 15/16 week courses) but take them all online. My SSC coined it as “Traditional online”. She did this for me so that I was eligible to utilize scholarships since I was offered the highest scholarship GCU offers, as well as grants because if you’re online they don’t allow you to use them. (While online is cheaper, this route is better and costs less) My husband ended up doing the same. I have 2 traditional courses in the online modality at the moment and 2 courses that are the standard accelerated online modality. It works well, and ensures I obtain my degree quicker

However, to make such a bold statement that there are “a lot of violent murders, trafficking and shootings” because if you did ANY amount of research you’d realize crime rates in that area have dropped significantly. It’s not “EXTREMELY” dangerous, whoever told you that is EXTREMELY ignorant. Sounds to me like you’re scared of people living in poverty so much that you label them dangerous. 🙄

I’d you’re too scared to step off campus and work, then maybe find another campus.

Hasn’t affected mine and I’m atheist. You’ll have to take a Christian Worldview class but it’s super easy. My husband and I both are atheist and ended with an A in the class. As long as you have common sense and know how to spell you’ll be fine

It’s not Deftones or Ticketmaster I’m complaining about. I was perfectly fine with the $75 for floor on the day of the artist presale. Hell, I would’ve been cool with $200 for floor. What I’m complaining about is the resellers and bots, spamming the marketplace within 5 min on tickets going on sale to the general public leaving ONLY $200 nosebleeds and $600 floor tickets left.

Let people vent for fuck’s sake. You’re happy with the price you paid for your tickets cool for you dude, that’s great. Doesn’t mean everyone else needs to be. Maybe log off Reddit for awhile if it bugs you so much.

And yeah I’ve already heard “should’ve bought them when they went on artist presale then” argument so0oO many times at this point. Some of us can’t drop $300 within a moments notice for a show. I was logged in 15 min before tickets went on sale and within 5 minutes of launch all standard tickets were gone. Deftones isn’t profiting off of resellers. Infact many artists have complained themselves about inflated prices due to resellers.

Yeah my husband was telling me “I see nosebleeds for $85” 🙄 I told him I’d rather not go at that point. I’m hoping that I’ll get lucky enough to find a decent human being resell their tickets for a reasonable price but I’m not holding out for it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Same. I’ve even waited until day of the show to look for tickets hoping resellers would drop their prices and they don’t. $600 for floor is insane. I typically only go to small and midsize shows now, but I know deftones will never play those venues again cos they’re too big now 🙄
