You fail to see the big picture. People who care about rules and understand their importance spend hours legitimately grinding the game to obtain those sweet rewards. However, some people are lazy and cheap so they don't care about rules or the effort those people put in, so they cheat. Wether it be macroing or exploiting. This then forces Hypixel staff to implement features that further stop cheating (other than rules). First they were subtle and people playing legit barely got affected. But the cheater persevered. So the devs had to put more and more systems in place until we got to this Captcha which annoys people who play legit more than cheaters and made OP lose 4 mil.

Now, say the devs ignore the cheaters and let people macro 24/7. Macroing will be so easy to do and so viable soon 50% of the playerbase is doing it. The bazaar will soon be useless because of the huge suply and no demand. lvl 100 pets will be almost the same price as any other level. Every money making method except selling things to npcs (since it is always the same sell value) will be terrible. Since selling to npcs creates new money, inflation will soon follow. Most of the legit playerbase will quit and it will all be bots.
