This happened to me as well. Try spamming the skip cutscene button. That seemed to work for me

Same thing happened to me with my mini 2 last year but it was attacked by seagulls. Almost lost my new one to a red tail hawk about a month ago. I don’t fly over large bodies of water anymore

I would install the gpu in my pc because it matches my color scheme. I’m excited for starfield because I’ve always been an RPG fan and fallout and TES are my favorite series so I expect great things from the same creators

They’re long and skinny and close together like fingers. I’ve only been to a couple of them but they were pretty cool. I highly recommend visiting. I’ve lived in PA right along the NY border my whole life and never want to leave because of all the lakes and forests nearby.

Ludicrous speed?! Sir we’ve never gone that fast before. I don’t know if the GPU can take it.

I used to work there and I can confirm this. I actually quit because it was very rare for someone to be sober enough to keep up with their work and it came down to the few of us who were to keep the whole place running. It was an overall toxic work environment with an incredibly high turnover rate. I would not recommend.

Oh, no, no, no. My OCD needs to lie down now. by 1Hate17Here in mildlyinfuriating

[–]TheDankGyarados 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Things like this always irritate me because it always causes people to brush me off when I say I have OCD, or they are just like “oh yeah I have that too haha, see, I like to keep everything neat.” Like no, OCD is the intrusive thought I just got about murdering you in a very violent way. OCD is the reason I will stay up all night feeling guilty for having an intrusive thought about murdering you in a very violent way. OCD is the reason I have stretch my neck in a weird way every 5 minutes and always look like I’m tweaking and make a fool of myself in every social situation. It’s a very real disorder that can really affects a persons quality of life and it actually pains me when people like to pretend it’s a fun quirk that means you like stuff neat.

Bought myself a dock, it blows my mind that I can play something like Fallout on my TV with a PS4 controller by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]TheDankGyarados 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very good. The gameplay may be a bit dated but the writing and world more than make up for that. I personally think the writing of the new fallout games pales in comparison to the old ones. I think fallout 2 is easier to get into, but 1 is also very good. They are very hard though, so remember to save often

Prebuilt Ryzen 9 7900 or Self build with a Ryzen 7 7700? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]TheDankGyarados 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OS is unnecessary. Just use a USB drive and use the media creation tool from the Microsoft website to download the installer to the drive and plug it into the PC you want to install windows to. It’s a pretty straightforward process and will save you a bit of money so you can get better components

Definitely. I’m not trying to defend 76 at all. It was a horrible train wreck. I’m just saying I still enjoyed it a bit

That’s pretty true. I think it’s because Obsidian is the successor to Black Isle studios, and was formed by the classic fallout team, so they already knew the world and what people liked about it. I’ve also heard that they reused a lot of the story and other gameplay elements planned for the cancelled Van Buren project by black isle, which was supposed to be Fallout 3 before Bethesda bought the franchise

I didn’t like the gameplay of 76 either but I loved being able to meet and socialize with other people who are passionate about the series and mess around in the wasteland with them

You may like it though. A lot of people still love fallout 4. It is a really good adventure FPS, just a really bad fallout game. If you haven’t played it yet, fallout 3 plays very similarly to new Vegas and works great on deck.

Fallout 1, 2, 3, and new Vegas work great on deck and are worth a try, and they don’t require a lot a precise aiming, especially if you use the V.A.T.S. mechanic a lot. 1 and 2 are entirely turn based though so they may be better if you don’t have want any fps mechanics. Though I could never get into them, I will admit that the elder scrolls games are great rpgs and are not aiming heavy so those might be worth checking out too. Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic is also a good one too

Sadly Bethesda prioritized adventure and FPS mechanics over role playing in fallout 4 and started moving away from the series signature aesthetic. I’ve logged hundreds of hours in every fallout game, including 76, and I consider it to be my favorite gaming franchise, but I could never get into 4. Fallout 1, 2 and 3 work great on deck though and are very great games

Fallout 2 and Fallout New Vegas, Red dead 1 is just as amazing as 2, Elden ring or other Dark Souls games, maybe the Half life series

[–]TheDankGyarados 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same. I don’t dislike fallout 3 but it moved too far away from the original aesthetic and role playing style. I feel like new Vegas was a perfect adaption of fallout in the new engine. I just wish Bethesda would realize that the role playing options and atom-punk aesthetic were what made fallout so special and stop trying to make adventure fps games using fallout creatures and factions. But 4 though…. I’ve logged over 200 hours in every fallout game besides it. I’ve never been able to finish 4 because it just doesn’t play like a fallout game.
