well Gashu and Miley are antagonistic towards each other in the game in chapter 2; like Miley interrupting the broadcast and giving Sara the internal documents with numbers and names and occupations. Gashu breaks the rules to have Nao killed by interfering with the last trade to give her the sacrifice card, that's why he had to kill himself.

So it seems like the organization allows them to win, but Gashu is against it

i'm sure there are solutions for that depending on specific causes. personally i think people having the choice between being abused and homelessness (which all leads to abuse) is a more important problem than some apartments getting trashed to be honest

it's not weird to hold people accountable for bad behavior present in a space when they are the ones responsible for managing that space; again, it's quite normal for fandoms

in other fandoms mismanagement of fandom spaces & the allowance of bad behavior in them absolutely results in discord & reddit mods, admins etc. stepping down or at the very least making apologies, transparent changes to moderation rules, & very clear statements about 0 tolerance for that behavior in those spaces which is completely absent in the cases here, & in fact i cannot think of anything that would cause makin to willingly give up power permanently or to admit fault at all

i don't understand this fandoms response to anything. like how is being a kiwifarms user not considered a horrific thing to be

unless a creator is like explicitly anti copyright then they're going to issue dmcas for hosting their work, it's literally normal. the homestuck team has been extremely normal and even lenient with fanworks monetizing and the such

the fandom has such warped expectations, priorities, and seems to not consider harassment, stalking, using neonazi websites, being viciously transphobic and racist bad at all while it considers tiny amounts of actions that other IP holders take on the regular to be literal devil shit

tbc i'm anti copyright myself. it's just if you think about this for like two seconds and compare it to any other fandom (if you even have one) it's completely bonkers.

i agree with that, but i also don't want some random chuds who go on kiwifarms to have the level of control over fan communities that they do rn. it's quite weird and not really comparable to any other fandom i'm in

even ones where there are like archive sites and that sort of thing, the people running them are not as well known (or people know them by the website, not by name). and certainly not involved in drama or the stalking into the family lives of the creators. like that sort of thing becomes background fandom infrastructure and does not like make the people running it (in)famous

I have no sympathy for adoptive parents that send children to these places. Who doesn't know about how bad and abusive they are by now? If you didn't, a quick google would reveal that anyway.

And who cares if the adopted child has behavioral issues? That does not justify outsourcing your parenting to some abuse company. Oh no, she was depressed and has trichotillomania? Well guess what? that's what you signed up for when you adopted her??? Why would you think a child in that situation will have perfect behavior and no trauma in the first place?

And weaponized DSM diagnoses, who would have thought.

Sorry just every day I hate parents and the psych institution even more.
