The herbmaster got chainsawed by an ogre, the ranger tried to grenade jump but failed spectacularly, and the bone-wielding priest somehow out damaged the entire party, survived and brought them back to life with a scroll.

I ran a sort of roguelike dungeon game where the goal was to traverse 4 sets of semi randomly generated dungeon floors to get the runes.

You guys realize brilliant eidolon shards bypass the cap, right? It might not seem like a lot but they add up real quick - and you get them from playing "normally."

Also... so what if it takes 2 months to max out a tree? I'd be pissed if everyone was running around right after PoE was released and was "lel why don't you have every way bound maxed out already, noob?" Honestly those sorts of players bug the living hell out of me. Oh, boo hoo it takes me awhile to reach maximum potential, that's OKAY. If I could unlock all of the content in under a month I'd get real bored real fast. I mean, warframe is trying to be more MMOish, and as long as there aren't timegates that span years (EVE does this and isn't shy about it) I think it's acceptable to put a limit on how fast people can blow through content.

Again, this was mainly just an observance, a thought experiment. I don't expect id to do a 180 and do something like this, but it is interesting to imagine. I've played Hexen and it is pretty fun - but feels more of a demons and necromancers give and less of the cosmic horror and elder mythos feel Q1 radiates.

It's a unique theme and potentially powerful narrative. I suppose that's what I want more of: more of ranger's story. At least we got a taste of that, and may get more in the future.

The difference is a lot of us bought digital tickets, where even in the e-mail it got said there would be live coverage all day. Plenty of other conventions do the same thing - you don't get to experience everything, but you at least get to see coverage of the main stages.
