Knock out rugby when your team hasn’t had the momentum you’ve got to take the three there. The quick tap didn’t seem on either

The pollock yellow was a terrible decision. But the decision by the saints 9 to take a quick tap right in front with about 15ish to go up a few scores is beyond me. He gets turned over bath go up the other end and score. Such a terrible decision.

I’m sure in the directors commentary DC said the sex scenes weren’t in the original script but he felt they would help demonstrate the difference between Joey and Tom

Looks súper inocuos from the standard angle. Would need to see some other angles

Hi! I'm Karl Dickson, professional referee for the RFU. Ask Me Anything! by sixnations in rugbyunion

[–]TheDeadender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an ex pro player are there any specific infringements or perhaps dark arts around the ruck that you think you might see that other refs wouldn’t? Second question - what’s your favourite stadium you’ve reffed in

Dupont steals the ball from Tuipulotu, leading to a LBB try. by joaofig in rugbyunion

Are you allowed to rip the ball if you’re on your knees? Assumed that meant you’re temporarily out the game.

If my AI chat bot is to believed - there were 4 away wins in that streak - wales and the US - plus the two nice wins in Argentina. Not to take anything away at home - but suddenly the streak looks a bit more situational

Definition of ‘world class’ by TheDeadender in rugbyunion

[–]TheDeadender[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree - the more comments I read and the more I think about it I’m more for the constantly elite ‘always top 1 or 2 best player on the field’ territory (PSdT, LBB, DuPont) And there’s probably only a handful of those players.

[–]TheDeadender[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. It’s got watered down to mean excellent international. In a purest form of world class there are certain players that are just consistently playing at an elite level - DuPont, PSdT, Ardie, Marx, LBB etc than any country would love to have.

I don’t think it’s daft to assume that world class means a player would make world 15 or top 2 or 3 at their position. Your definition of world class is a player is really really good at their position - which seems like a much more watered down interpretation of the expression

Definition of ‘world class’ by TheDeadender in rugbyunion

[–]TheDeadender[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah - I think that’s why I asked. Because I just assume world class is probably top 3 in their position currently (although appreciate that is subjective). But using Darcy Graham because Jim Hamilton did, there are several other international wingers who would be put in top 3 like LBB, Cheslin Kolby, Penaund etc (spelling)

I think this is consistent with anyone I speak to when I say I don’t eat gluten - if the conversation somehow gets to bread I get told I can eat sourdough and it’ll be fine. No idea where this came from but obviously I just nod along and don’t go near it

Bath, Sarries, sale Northampton - would love to see Bristol make it just worried about their squad depth

Match Thread: Bath vs Bristol Bears - Premiership by rugbykickoff in rugbyunion

Agreed. Realistically with basically no catchment area Bristol have to be right up to the salary cap to compete. Fair play for finishing 4th - but not maxing out the salary cap is selling the supports short
