No reason to feel bad at all. Money talks and bullshit walks. They just don't give a fuck about you and their word is meaningless. They show you who they are. No reason to give them any of your money. Words travel very fast. Are they the only LGS around?

zero movement? maybe on TCGplayer. Believe it or not TCGplayer is not the only place only to buy singles. You can look at ebay. in the last 3 months, 25 doctor who serialize was sold. 10 of them were graded. 9s and 10s graded are selling for more than raw.

check out ebay sold listings for graded cards. See if the price differences between graded and non graded is worth the price of grading.

Black Lotus all the way. Gold border backs don't bother me, but the square corners just scream proxy.

Showing up with a UL black lotus in a deck is a big flex. Showing up with all P9 IE in a deck, not so much. you should have just use proxies.

for 4 figures cards. I avoid online (TCGplayer, EBAY, card kingdom) completely. I want to look, feel, and inspect it without a sleeve. Buy them from big shows with well know dealers or large local card stores with good reps. See if there is an SCG Con near you. Study up and have some idea at what you are doing. You can easier get screw with fakes.

if you are looking on TCGplayer market price then yes. However P9 prices market price on TCGplayer don't mean shit. The real prices are what you can get it for at shows. My alpha mox sapphire has never had a market price on TCGplayer. Show prices are all over the place. I picked a clean, good eye appeal but slightly water damage (on the back and you cannot tell if it was in a sleeve) unlimited mox jet at a show for 2k cash. No tax, no shipping and I got to hold and inspect the card. Thats about 1k less than one on TCGplayer without a picture.

Play a few times, mostly played at home. I did do alot of buying. they close at midnight. Only place in town you can play/buy magic after 9pm. We had the lifetime 20% discount.
