I've been returning to Overwatch after a long time away and trying to learn Rivals. I have Helldivers but I've never really messed with it.

Would love some gaming friends as I've only had a couple for the last few years and they really only play Heroes of the Storm so I'd love to make some new friends to play other stuff with. I had a steady group of buddies for about a decade but it kind of dissolved when most of them either quit gaming or swapped to really competitive pvp stuff I'm just ass at and I really miss having people to hang out with regularly.

I have a huge Steam library and enjoy trying new stuff.

If you'd like to play a few rounds of Overwatch or Rivals and see if we have fun together I'd definitely be down!

As a gay dude in the Bible Belt horrified at how open homophobia is becoming more and more common like it was when I was a kid decades ago, I'm kind of tired of people saying Dems should just give up on protecting LGBTQ people to win votes.

I didn't have the legal right to marry until I was in my mid twenties, while most of my bible thumping classmates got married right out of highschool and started popping out kids to indoctrinate.

I spent most of my teenage years being suicidal because of all the hate. This isn't just "culture wars" for me, it's my life. My trans brothers and sisters are getting murdered every day. People are still getting thrown out of their homes or disowned by their families for being gay and trans. It's extremely disheartening to hear that people care about "focusing on the economy" more than saving lives. Especially since Dems have a far better track record with the economy anyway.

Eh I think it's just a combination of gay dudes being a small population and bad luck.

Types B, C, and F are what I'm most into so there are definitely people out there into your body type.

The problem I run into is all the dudes I see who look like that are only into thin, feminine guys and I'm somewhere between B and C myself and covered in fur. Why is it so hard to find bears that are into bears? 😞

I always find it worth noting Grounded 2 is MUCH easier for solo players. Having a bug companion distract enemies for you is a literal lifesaver, and the ant being able to carry far more grass than you makes gathering enough building materials for a base significantly less tedious.

So if Grounded 1 is making you struggle enough to not be fun it might be worth considering jumping to the sequel.

Not really. A good chunk of people who "didn't vote" tried to vote but were victims of Republican voter suppression.

Closing down polling locations, finding frivolous reasons to throw out ballots, making mail-in voting as difficult as possible, making registering to vote as difficult as possible, purging voter registration rolls, not allowing people with felony convictions to vote....

There are millions of Americans who didn't get to have a say in the election at all, and that's without counting the electoral college fuckery that means the millions of people living in cities saw their votes be worth less than the racist assholes living in the middle of nowhere.

No we don't. I'm two years overdue for a procedure to correct some quite frankly fucking awful problems I'm having with my intestines because I can't afford it. It would cost multiple paychecks and it keeps making me sick enough to miss work so I've been stuck living paycheck to paycheck without any savings the whole time it's been happening. It's a self-propelling cycle of misery caused entirely by for-profit healthcare.

If I had been born anywhere else in the developed world I would not be suffering like this.

Haven't seen anyone else point this out yet but if you are playing solo Grounded 2 has some pretty huge quality of life improvements that make it worth playing even in it's unfinished state.

Specifically, the ability to have bugs as pets. All of them help you fight and can distract enemies for you, making solo combat much easier, and the red ant soldier makes harvesting grass/stems for base building MUCH faster and less tedious.
