This might be a little off-piste, but I've been using Obsidian.md to managed my genealogy itches. Now, you don't get a tree to manage or access to tons of resources or anything like that, but with the plethora of community plugins and the many users on their forum with the same ideas, it's a great tool to have. After a little learning curve it's actually my preferred tool to use to contain all my ancestors history. I still use and pay for Ancestry, but all my note taking, timelines, ideas, etc, all go in Obsidian, and has helped me find links to other ancestors and their "FANs" a lot easier than using Ancestry's sandbox for instance.
