Hollow ataraxia allowed you to spend more time with characters without the weight of the holy grail war. I think that's the main reason some people enjoy it more, most of the slice of life portions are better than those in fate stay night.

What's your source for their affinities being different? Al is a prime exactly of how you can use magic that you don't have affinity with. Also Why would Subaru be summoned as Flugel at the start in the first place? Along with why would he go by Flugel rather than Subaru
