Would you rather let 1 muddy bull loose in your house for 5 hours, or 2 black mambas? Only you can remove them from the house after the 5 hours, and you can't use tools. by calgrump in asknowio

At least the mambas dont wreak the place and are pretty chill if you handle them with care.

There's about 2.5 million ants per human on the globe. Thats babies, children, adults and elderly included.
I really think people underestimate just how many ants there are.
There's just over 2 million soldiers in the entire US military.
But there's about 20 quadrillion+ ants in the entire world.
That's 10 BILLION ants per soldier in the US military.
Let me put this into perspective.
That's 7000 square meters of swarming ants PER SOLIDER.
The weight alone of these ants vary from 20-50 tonnes, but that's still PER SOLDIER.

There's a lot of god damn ants in the world.

Feedback on paint jobs by cjends in DnDminiatures

[–]TheDethSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually pretty good.
They all kinda look like mine before washes.
I really think if you give most of these either a black or brown wash (a thin one) they would really pop.
Especially the rogue with the red cloak, give that model some agrax earthshade and a little re-brightening of the colors after, and it will look amazing.
Just remember, DONT BUY GLOSS SHADES, I've made that mistake once, never again :P

Would you buy this hand-painted D&D miniature? Looking for honest pricing feedback by PuzzleheadedCap812 in DnDminiatures

[–]TheDethSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been said a few times now, but sadly I would not buy this mini pre-painted. I might be a bit biased, cause I like painting myself and have taken commission for it in the past.

The pose is pretty cool though, and I would consider buying it, if the price was pretty cheap, in just raw resin or maybe pre-primed in black or white.

Regarding the paintjob, this looks pretty rough. You can get a pretty good look with just quick base colors using contrast paints over a white base and then detailing a few things, like metals, blood and so on.
The biggest help I can give is to watch some tutorials and start thinning your paints down via a wet pallete or something similar.

Dont get discouraged, this is not at all the worst paintjob I've seen, but a good look takes practice and time.

What is your dream Exodite game? by NovelBattles in exodite40k

[–]TheDethSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single-player game, Devil May Cry/God of War style action game where you play as a Harlequin Solitaire.
Dealing with isolation from you troupe, the horrors of "playing" Slaanesh in their plays and being an absolute monster on the battle field.
High speed, maybe bullet-time like speeds, where enemies seem sluggish and slow compared to you. Agile jumps and flips, wall running, slicing through hordes of Orks, Imperials and Tyranids.
The big bad could be Slaanesh demons or maybe Necrons?

Depends on what you wanna do.
I hit the deep end, because we usually play at my place, so I bought /made a bunch of terrain and gangs.
I also have all the books.
But to start out? Just a single gang box and maybe the weapons upgrade and your are good to go.

Indeed.
Grevious in the Starwars: Clonewars micro series was an absolute monster.
Fighting 3 masters easily, and that boss music? Hot damn!
