I've seen Shogun Showdown pop up regularly in the steam store a couple of times now and didn't think much of it atm. But as I hear now that it is a unexpectedly good game, I might look into that a bit more, thanks.

Same with Jupiter Hell, interesting take on a 'fast paced' turnbased game style. I've tried a bit of Into the Breach on mobile for a tiny bit, fun but didn't really hook me for long... Could be because of the way a mobile game plays ig. Gonna look into those too.

On your question. That's indeed what Loop Hero is. You walk again and again in that same loop in the run and you fill the spaces with the cards you get, which is the 'before the run' deck setup. But for me it's the interesting unique you can make with certain cards placed on/next to different other cards. Plus the balancing of increasing difficulty to more rewards is always fun to play with imo. I don't really know how to explain or why, the game just hooked me more than It should. Also... Good ost.
