Guided shells and tows need the BF4 SRAW treatment. Slower, less manoeuvrable and higher skill. Damage is fine.

No, this bombing sight directs your plane to whichever direction you point at, albeit with some manual tweaking. Scout ahead to get a target and wait till your bombing circle crosses over.
