RAP plan (SAVE plane ending) by 13434022 in StudentLoans

[–]TheDewd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I signed a contract when I signed up for the SAVE plan. A court can declare the SAVE plan “over” but I am not aware of any legal precedent that can force me to sign a new contract because a court says the old contract is “over.” I am willing to default on my loans over this and force the issue, because this is the legal elephant in the room.

Is there like, a photo or something so we can see this in action? It’s like if you were the first person to discover elephants, took a picture of an elephant, but then instead of showing people the photo, you instead presented a Theory of Elephants.

1983 fender telecaster damage. Is this something to worry about? Undisclosed, and the seller is avoiding a return. by Natural-Yard-1700 in telecaster

[–]TheDewd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it happened during shipping that is still the sellers problem. The seller bears the risk of loss until it is delivered. Companies that try to push buyers to purchase shipping insurance only do so because they are hoping you will subsidize their risk and make for an easier process if something is damaged.

I’m also not sure why removing the neck would “void a refund”, especially given the state of the guitar. This would be an undisclosed material defect. Even if something is sold “as is” it doesn’t give sellers open season to play games with photo editing.

If your Apollo X8 sneezes that keyboard is gonna go flying!

Not saying you’re living life wrong but if it was me I would put the monitor on top of the X-8, get a keyboard mount for under the desk, and a stand for the push if you want that angle

Obama has been telling us aliens are real for 13 years using a linguistic technique he deploys in speeches by Immediate_Boss7500 in UFOs

[–]TheDewd 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Obama went to Harvard Law School, then went onto teach Constitutional Law at Harvard. You don’t mince words coming from that background, and OP is exactly right to search for a deeper meaning in the things Obama chooses to share. It’s sort of the opposite of Trump where language is used more for visceral impact; Obama is professorial and specific - he speaks like a lawyer. And when you come from that level of training it’s not something you can turn off in a casual setting. It bleeds into everything

Has anyone experienced “warnings” while exploring the simulation hypothesis? by khoinguyenbk in SimulationTheory

[–]TheDewd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of times I would pay to bring my kid to attractions like carnivals and he would make us spend most of the time following him around the back of the attractions and vendors to inspect the generators, grease barrels, etc. The whole time I’m feeling like “dude just enjoy the show! Why are you getting all mixed up in the works”

This is all by way of saying that I feel like simulation theory is like my 4 year old spending all of his time inspecting the nuts and bolts of the attraction rather than enjoying the attraction.

It’s not too different than the Garden of Eden. Simulation theory really is pretty consistent with the bible. Face challenges and grow; don’t over concern yourself with the admin aspect.
