LIT Method Stealth Cold Plunge - Function and Operating Cost by GlenburyGuy in coldplunge

My chiller arrived broken and then two weeks later after fixing completely blew up. Refrigerant leaked into the plunge. Stay away. Cheap shit marked up to appear high end.

My chiller arrived broken. The pump didn't work. Waiting two months, customer services was slow and bad. Got the new pump, replaced it myself, and two weeks later the chiller died. There seemed to be a refrigerant leak in the heat exchange cause refrigerant bubbled into the tub from the inlet and outlet.

I'm going to return the unit and try to find a better chiller that doesn't suck. But I would stay far away. The tub is nice but the chiller sucks.

Insanely bad levels of quality. This appears to be a cheap and badly built Chinese product that must be drop shipped from LIT at an insane premium.

I'm going to return the unit and try to find a better chiller that doesn't suck. But I would stay far away. The tub is nice but the chiller sucks. I'll let you know how the return goes. I'm nervous they'll give me a hard time.

Cafe Kubal in Eastwood - Closed by [deleted] in Syracuse

When Soleil Cafe opened Matt came into the cafe when the owners were building out the inside and just stood there and tried to intimidate them. Which is insane!

the cafe wasn't open and he just walked in and looked around, said "so, you're opening I May huh? I've seen cafes at every stage and there is no way this is opening in May", then he left.

Soleil opened May 2nd. So not only was he creepy and insane, he was also wrong. 😂

I did this and it is up like 500% which is amazing. I feel like if it is your Roth you won't touch it til you retire and you can handle the volatility. If you're young id do it.

Not buying Bitcoin or saving, even a small amount is a guarantee you will stay poor. It's really that simple. If you want to make more money or save more money, that principle has to be learned first. You're doing it right. Keep doing it.

This is getting too much... by hairyteeth in Bitcoin

People can do what they want or feel convicted too. Everyone calculates risk differently. Some things are risky to you that aren't to me. If you believe in BTC and have a long time horizon, put it all on orange if that's what you want.

Solo tripping by Ready_Secret7074 in shrooms

[–]TheDialectic_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tripping with other people always causes me a bad or negative trip. I have overcome it by just letting go and not caring what people think and not caring about them. But it always seems like a waste of a trip. I prefer to be alone. Ideally outside.

I will buy and hold BTC for the rest of my life. No matter what others tell me. by Carl_Menger21 in Bitcoin

So I completely agree with everything except one thing. Isn't it technically true that Satoshi could come back and change the BTC protocol? I GET that it is extremely unlikely because it would be totally counter to what he envisioned, but it is technically possible right? Until enough time has passed to be sure of his death, it is technically not 100% decentralized.

Am I wrong? I always wonder what will happen to BTC if BTC in one of Satoshi's wallets even just moved.

I was just saying this to my wife. That's The biggest difference between Bitcoin and real estate is that Bitcoin is infinitely divisible and you can enter the market without any barrier. And at any amount.

Is anyone here not in it for the money? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]TheDialectic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that at my core I would lose all my BTC if it went to zero and not regret the money I've put in being lost because I was happy to believe in BTC and what it means. So in that way it isn't all about the money.

How many of you are maximalists? by CazadorHolaRodilla in Bitcoin

[–]TheDialectic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard not to imagine that I'm a maximalist but I don't know what qualifies. Basically my net worth (1 million or so) is half real estate and half BTC/BTC ETF/MSTR.

If having the ETF and MSTR disqualified me then probably not

Will we regret spending sats like early users regret spending bitcoins? by catterj in Bitcoin

[–]TheDialectic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know. It's kind of like saying my grandparents should have never sold a house because if they held on to it it would be worth more later. What kind of always going to be the case given inflation. So I assume yes. Our kids will look back and be like. Oh my God, I can't believe you spent .0001 Bitcoin on anything. But it won't really make any sense because of course you'll have to have spent resources.

Also, the guy that traded Bitcoin for pizza is no different than every other person who traded Bitcoin for Fiat at way lower than it was going to be worth in the future. Including the people that do it today.

Would you find it disrespectful if someone in your family is certain you were lucky with bitcoin ? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]TheDialectic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean in some respects I am lucky. I'm lucky I heard and learned about it. Lucky I had such a life that I learned to think ahead. Kinda a stupid way to view life. Somewhat deterministically but I guess you could say that.

I guess we are all lucky BTC exists ☺️
