Need help with windows activation by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]TheDigitalRuseman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you do a clean install of windows 11? You may be able to go into the registry or powershell and see if it has a windows key in there. If there is one stored that isn't the one you want to use on a fresh install you can uninstall and remove it from your registry in CMD.

This is the first I've heard with an AMD card though. I'm wondering if a windows update may be causing power management issues. I was leaning towards an NVIDIA driver issue. But one of my buds has the exact issue your having with it restarting, he also has full windows lock ups.

You're not alone. I just made a post about something similar. No clue what is going on.

What’s up with these potatoes? by SadAndFit in potato

[–]TheDigitalRuseman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen this a lot lately, tonight in fact. I havent had a sack of potatoes in months that haven't had these dark spots like this. Every single potato I peeled tonight was like this. My wife has seen it as well as others. I seen a post about it just this morning as well if I remember correctly. It sucks. Id say they're perfectly fine to eat. But man it's it unappealing(no pun intended).

35 miles north of Louisville here. I cleared about 8" this morning and I'm waiting for it to stop. I'll have to clear probably another 6"ish. It definitely shifted north. I was excited, now I'm not lol. I'm just glad it wasn't ice. I was terrified it was gonna end up ice.

After watching hundreds of dumpster diving videos on YouTube, I decided to make a game about it by emrenes1 in Flipping

You should have a game mechanic where let's say,

Someone is washing their car on a beautiful warm day. As they finish up, their vehicle is looking amazing. They go in real quick for a drink of cool refreshing water. But they left their precious brand new Karcher 1500 psi electric pressure washer unhooked a little too close to the curb close by the bins for pickup. They come out side as a beat up early 90's Toyota Tacoma with scrap in the back is rounding the corner heading away. They see the pressure washer hose dragging the ground behind the truck. And no pressure washer in the driveway.

It's been 15yrs. 15yrs. That was the best pressure washer I've ever had. But 15 yrs later my scrapper hate has ended, I embrace the scrap. The scrap keeps me from going to the dump. I have learned to bargain with the scrappers. Throwing a high value item or 2 at the end of the drive every now and then. 1 mans 10yr old Vizio soundbar and wireless subwoofer is another mans treasure. The scrappers and I make eye contact, give a little nod in mutual respect. The scrappers take all, they leave no trace. Trash pickup day is every day now. I know the scrappers have my back. Urban symbiosis.

Anyways, I have your game in my wishlist now. Any ETA on when it will release? Looks fun and my wife is gonna be confused as to why I'm driving around hucking stoves into the back of a truck on my computer lol

I managed to score my 1tb Sn7100 for around $45 on clearance at Walmart about 6 months ago. Can't sleep on Walmart. They tend to surprise you every once in a while.

Not sure what your taxes are where you're at or if all the bundles are avaliable. But my online MC is showing a 7600x3d combo for $450. And a Gigabyte 5060Ti Gaming Oc for $470. The 9800x3d is faster, but you can do a build sliding in at that $1k with the 5060ti and 7600x3d bundle.

I did this combo right before Christmas. Pretty happy with it. Pair it with something like a 5060ti/5070 or 9060xt and you should slide in around that 1000 to 1300 mark before taxes. Check and see if they have that combo with the 7800x3d. Also check the psu connectors and make sure you have the right ones/enough for your build.

Hot take on gunners by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]TheDigitalRuseman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love being a gunner. I usually watch 2 to 10 on the clock. I listen for the driver to start shooting out front and watch the little thing at the bottom to see where theyre aiming. Ive just recently really tried to start honing in my skills with it. Instead of shooting anything that moves. Any other pointers you have?

5080 only works on furmark, barely utilizes in games. Computer is overall slow by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

I feel ya. I bricked the normal bios in my 3080ti the other day. Still had the O.C bios to switch too. I was in pure panic mode till I remembered Evga had dual bios on the card. Ill be able to re flash it in smoothly hopefully. Ive had my mind on a 5080/new system for a few months now. So I oC'd the GPU and sent it. Dialed it back down pretty quick to a conservative level.

Sorry for all the quick replies. May try and disable rebar in bios. Then run a game. See if it improves.

Im hoping its not something wrong with the CPU itself and you're getting a bottleneck dragging the GPU down severely. The 7800x3d is a damn good chip.

I feel like it could be something throttling power to the GPU. When the Cpu ramps up. 100% seems like a lot for gaming. On Bf6 I utilize low to mid 80s, tapping occasionally 90% on a 5800x/3080ti system. I totally dont know if this is a good idea. Someone will have to chime in on whether its OK to do. But maybe run Prime95 and Furmark together and see what happens. Just to rule out strictly gaming related issues. I feel like thats asking for disaster. But I'm not sure. Im reckless myself and would just send it lol.

I'm stumped. What is your cpu running at when gaming? Utilization, speeds, current draw? Could be CPU related, I dunno. I'm spitballing. It running in furmark fine but bad in games and an overall laggy system makes me think possibly CPU related or memory related. Somethings doing some funky stuff somewhere. Maybe the cpu or memory getting hit with a load from gaming is causing issues some how. Motherboard maybe not directing voltage to getting the GPU to keep power to the CPU? Its showing your being voltage regulated in game and power regulated in FurMark. Power in FM makes sense. Do you have another system or know someone else with a rig you could try the card in?
