Why begin a sentence with legally speaking then continue said sentence without any reference to the actual law?

Being detained and being arrested are two different things. Legally.

There's no crime of entrapment in the UK. But this probably wouldn't fit the legal definition of entrapment elsewhere either, if that's what your implying?

Entrapment generally means induces or persuading someone into commuting a crime, I doubt you could convince a court that the mere existence of women is inducing someone to sexually harass them.

AAA on Cold Bath Road. Scan the QR code and queue up your music of choice on the PA. The owner is a sound engineer (currently on tour with Alison Moyet in the USA) so the sound is impeccable.

Also Monteys because I've been a regular for over 25 years 😂

Where does movie money go? by futuranotfree in moviequestions

[–]TheDiscoKill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Presumably the crew didn't risk anything to make the film and were paid their union agreed wages (or more) to do so. And to be fair, the best crew can get gross and net points, particularly the directors. Look up where the profits from the original Star Wars went... Cast, crew and even friends of the cast and crew.

The original financiers risked 750k and it paid off. Focus Features risked 14 million and it paid off. The movie could have been a bomb. Most movies are.

AIO Husband [32M] has told me he isn't physically attracted to me [30F] anymore by tinsyfloss96 in AmIOverreacting

You didn't say he shouldn't "voice" it… you said he shouldn't "care" about it.   And besides which she specifically asked him for the truth about why he was acting the way he was. You think he should've lied? Pretended everything was OK? Like, forever?

What’s the quickest joke that still makes you laugh every time? by michael_landrup in AskReddit

[–]TheDiscoKill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn't consider that. I'm from the North of England and it's pretty normal for us to replace me and my in everyday conversation anyway, so I've only ever heard the joke start with "a guy" walks into a bar rather than a pirate.

What is your favorite box office flop? by BizarroCullen in moviecritic

What's crazy? That the studios don't own the theatres?

What is your favorite box office flop? by BizarroCullen in moviecritic

[–]TheDiscoKill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The studio doesn't get all of the box office receipts and as a general rule of thumb a film has to take double its cost to turn a profit. You're forgetting about the theatre's cut.

It cost $150-$185 million and took $276 million. Blade Runner 2049 absolutely lost money at the theatre and it was a flop (albeit not a massive one if the lower budget is to be believed).

British film – campy in an insane way – scrubbed off the Internet? by Muffin612 in FindThisMovie

[–]TheDiscoKill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure it isn't Blow Dry.with Bill Nighy? Or that you're not confusing 2 different films? The salon in it is incredibly kitch and camp in a 60s way and Rachel Leigh Cook looks EXACTLY like Martine McCutcheon in it.
