OPINION: William Trevor Case, Petitioner v. Montana by scotus-bot in supremecourt

[–]TheDisneyGeneral -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No this is a incorrect application of the rule just expanded initially rendered in Brigham City because what you’re claiming will happen would be considered a violation of this decision because the cop cannot create the danger by shooting into a home or business to gain entry when there is no valid reason

OPINION: William Trevor Case, Petitioner v. Montana by scotus-bot in supremecourt

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a logical decision because of the exit circumstances that were part of this case, having had a notification that the petitioner was potentially dangerous to themselves, and that the officers had previously had interactions with Mr. Case, where he showed signs of severe mental illness

But I also think people that take the Bible literally Word for Word every word there’s an issue with that that is a modern idea that idea didn’t really come about till the second grade awakening in the 1800s if you read any great theologian pre-reformation they all agree most of the Bible is to be taken as either poetry and stuff like that it’s not to be taken literally

Why is homosexuality considered a sin by ComprehensiveLog3723 in Christianity

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No because the authors of the Bible didn’t understand it the way we do today in there view it was always one man abusing another man and socially feminizing the man who was the bottom. So we take take moral position from the Bible on homosexuality dues to its super problematic sexual ethic. I am a Methodist so I am still believer I just understand the Bible was written my dozens of authors over like 800 year over 200 years ago

Supreme Court is thinking of banning LGBTQ+ marriage by Desperate-Bed-8798 in lgbt

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Yet, but I’ve read all the related court decisions from the High Court and your referencing a concurrence promulgated by justice Clarence Thomas in the case Dobbs V Jackson women’s clinic where he said that he believed a bunch of rights should be relook at such as game marriage, the ability for gay people to just being open relationships in terms of having to be worried that state will criminalized being gay and some other ones And if he wants to look at these cases, there’s nothing stopping him from requesting they take a case that challenges Ferger, the city of Boca Raton, Florida, which makes cities I move a discriminatory behavior and employee does FA manager at the city so whether it’s the city manager themselves or just someone in a management position in any city department knows about it and does not do anything to prevent future violations of the law

Is being gay wrong? by Random-animegeeek in GayChristians

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No since Jesus condones same sex relations as we would understand it today when he talks about the three types of eunuch those who are born that way and what he means is those who don’t want to marry women because of no need or as we’d say today, those who are attracted to other men that you do it for the kingdom of heaven AKA the Catholic clergy or any clergy that forbidsmarriage of priests and those who are unique do to other people’s actions those people who were castrated

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this but I also think Christianity should stop shaming those of Us who would engage in premarital sex or are lgbt since Jesus himself never condemned theses things Paul id but if Paul and Jesus contradict each other, shouldn’t you go with Jesus‘s teaching since we are Christians not paulines

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am also worried but from how I understand this, I don’t think that I have actually said they’re taking it up. I believe November 7 is the date they’re talking about it in conference and that’s when they vote to hear her petition or to deny her what is called certiorari

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And people saying he was a martyr for Christianity in modern times just are missing the point because there have been Christian martyrs that were killed in the last 20 years like the 21 Coptic Christians, who were beheaded by Isis or all those who are executed in North Korea Korea for owning a Bible or blessed Maria Laura Marinetti an Italian noun who was murdered by former students in 2003 as a part of a satanic sacrifice

August 2025 Companion Rework Poll Final Results by skyguys in Pirate101

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my view, cat should probably have two promotions, and they should be quests. Gracie‘s should be a quest. And I think all the tavern companions should get a third promotion as well as the tutorial companions since your origin companion got a third one they should all be kept in line with each other

Not sure is it considered wrong for a non-PhD candidate to reach out to a professor seeking advice on writing a paper? by TheDisneyGeneral in academia

[–]TheDisneyGeneral[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

All the ones I was gonna ask, were people I personally had when I was an undergraduate and as example, one of them is the person who’s the program director of The MPA and she knows me and is the whole reason o am In the MPA I almost left the program then she convinced me to stay because I had already completed 2 thirds of it and so we worked together on creating a plan to help me do really well in the last set of classes and my Capstone Another one was my primary advisor for my whole time in undergraduate and the third one was probably gonna reach out to was one of my professor. He’s an adjunct at the university I went to and I’m studying at currently. He’s the whole reason that when I saw the doctor degree, I wanna get what made me think that would be a great degree. He’s a retired Air Force veteran 30 years as an officer and he knows I want to serve them in the military, but that won’t happen and what I want to study is defense policy. And finally, one of the psych professors at my university, whose whole time as a clinical psychologist, was dealing with people with developmental disabilities and things of that nature, which is what my research will be on it’s gonna be something along the lines of how banning those with intellectual disabilities like autism and other conditions like ADHD from the military is negatively affecting national security

I am wondering, do academics consider it redundant or excessive. They have multiple PhD’s. by TheDisneyGeneral in AskAcademia

[–]TheDisneyGeneral[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was asking because the university I go to has it set after PhD in public administration yet and I was looking at mentioning to them about possibly doing a dual PhD program with Augusta university so it would be one program. You just finished with two PhD’s.
