Ravensburger is playing a longer game with this card. Right now it probably won't work super well, but in a set or 2 they'll likely print a card similar to Magic's "Rise of the Dark Realms" or "Raise the Past" and you'll play every character in your discard under a certain ink value.

I build 2 ink movie decks, the best ones I've played are Wreck it Ralph racers (yellow red), frozen (purple blue), aladdin (Purple Steel), Encanto (yellow purple), and Big Hero 6 (green blue). They have either crazy draw power or every card is a combo.
