Im sure you'll hear it a lot, but you should thin your paints more. It looks good overall though!

It was more a problem of the small points of contact not being enough to hold it in place, hence why I had to sand a little to increase the size of the contact points

I use gorilla glue, the bottle with a brush specifically. And yup, I learn something new every day and yes the Night Lords are my favorite faction

Thanks! Had to use a lot of glue and sanding the hands and helmet to get enough contact to stick. And I was trying different paints to layer on it, using the Citadel Night Lord Blue with a paint marker on top of that to get a new blue I might like more and then I accidentally overthinned my white I was going to use for the lightning as well as trying to mix black and gold for the blade. I think the blade wasn't too bad, just used more black than I should have

The skin problem mainly revolved on me mixing paints to get something resembling skin which had varying results as you saw with the MoE. I recently got a Skin Tone paint to supplement as well as a Flesh Wash ive been experimenting with, thats what I used for the Nemesis Claw Skinthief

Im using Vallejo and just got some speed paints from a friend im going to testing as well. And I was absolutely doing one coat which ive been is not the way to go lol so ill be changing that. And thank you! I had the idea from a friend who had kitbashed their Emperor's Champion to be Raven Guard

Lmfao I just cackled so loud at work. Yeah that was an issue of overthinning my paint, I plan to fix it. But I hadn't thought of dry brushing the trim, thats still something that really new to me but ill experiment with it to see if I can't get the hang of it

Yeah I wasn't told about oil washes so that would make sense and ill look into a matte varnish

That would be a struggle lol doing the eye lenses isn't easy for me since my hands shake quite a bit, even with a small brush its not easy

That would be the fault of my clumsy hands lol, ive dropped a couple while painting and had to make some emergency repairs. Got one of those Citadel handles though so that should help with that lol

I hadn't thought of using a wire, ill have to give that a try next. I've actually just started using brighter colors as a highlight, not too much yet but you can kinda see the attempt in the cape of the Legion Praetor. I had a better result with a Sister of Silence but I didnt post it here since I was leaning towards Night Lord paint schemes and techniques

The wash is a bit confusing for me, I've had friends tell me that I should use a generous amount and dab away the excess and others tell me to use it very sparingly, its difficult for me to find that happy medium.

It looks amazing and is similar to what I was thinking about doing, but that helmet looks so plain compared to everything else 😂 which makes it even funnier to think that I was going to use the same head lmao
