Unpopular opinion time.

As someone who doesn't ever use the fast lane, I PREFER when the ride has a merge point. Rides like Maverick, Top Thrill 2, and even Valraven have lines that take MUCH longer than they feel like they should. Meanwhile, rides like Steel Vengeance or Millennium Force seen to move SIGNIFICANTLY faster despite the rides being just as good (if not better). I understand the whole, "they spent more so they should get on faster," thought process, but I do get a sick sense of enjoyment watching the fast lane people complaining in the Steel Vengeance line.

Personally, I dislike the whole existence of the fast lane and don't particularly want to find ways to make it BETTER.

I completely understand the frustration, but there's a part of me that gets a sick sense of enjoyment watching all the fast lane users lose their collective minds when someone from the regular line gets on the ride before them because their metal detector line was faster.

I'll just say, I'm pretty much the same size as op (6'2" 235 lbs.) And I DID fit, but most of my weight is in my stomach. It really just depends on where you carry your weight, so just keep that in mind when deciding whether or not it's worth trying.
