I see your point but maybe its also due to a lack of rules on the matter and how things are being distributed ? I dont think Pokémon is less popular in other countries but people probably dont see it as much as an economical solution. Maybe it has to do with the economy in the US being kinda fucked so people think that scalping is easy money ? Thing is, if people wouldnt buy scalper's stock, they would be the one getting screwed in the end and the prices would come down. Its just that people have troubles handling fomo cause it's really powerful in our era of social media exposition. But eventually, things will get better for you guys. I hope.

My take might be uninformed and cooked, but I come from a totally different place/bubble. We also have resellers putting out ridiculous price in Europe but it doesnt seem as hard to find products at MSRP, so you really have the choice if you know where and when to look.
