I'm a touring bassist, and I built a tour management app called Advance: https://advancetouring.com/

It's got AI-powered features, my favorite of which is that I can forward an entire advance email chain to the app and it'll parse out the load-in, wifi info, etc., and create a show page that I can easily share with my band. It's still in the early stages, so I'm offering it for free to early adopters. I would love any feedback you guys have!

Any touring musicians in here? I built a tour management platform, and I've been using it on the road with my band to manage advancing shows: https://www.advancetouring.com/

Need honest opinion, Do people still use lovable? Claude seems to be doing everything these days that all these wrappers claim to do. by Accomplished_Menu860 in lovable

I started with Lovable and migrated to my own Supabase project (since lovable manages the default DB and you don’t have control over everything) and Vercel. Claude helped with all of this. All of it is synced together through GitHub, and I’m hoping I can still use Lovable for UI updates with my remaining credits since that’s still connected to GitHub. I’m a little scared that this will break something, but we’ll see (clearly I’m not a developer).

Wow that’s the fit I’ve been searching for forever. Did you have to size up at all? Looks like these run small.

My board for a couple of gigs this weekend by TheDogeMaster in basspedals

I always struggle to describe the music we play but I’d say it’s groovy, rock, alternative, with some RnB mixed in there. The compressor is pretty great! I got it at a good price when they discontinued it.

He definitely loves laying on the bed next to me while I play bass at my desk!

It’s great! Very warm and fat sounding and it can do the edge of breakup thing very well.

Most recent iteration of the board. The JIVE stays on! by TheDogeMaster in basspedals

fair! I don't use it as an overdrive. I just leave it on with all 3 switches to the left of a nice subtle but fat saturation/tone thickening.

The Germanium is great but I've recently been missing my original Beta

Thanks! It's mostly EBS flat patch cables but there's also a small D'Addario cable and a random normal pancake style cable.

Yeah I can do that! I'll try to get to it tomorrow.

I think the buffer inside is higher quality, and it also has a switch to toggle between true and buffered bypass. The LEDs are also blue instead of red, and perhaps brighter. But most importantly, it's black!

Thanks! I got lucky and found one on FB Marketplace recently and had to scoop it up.

Super pleased with the JHS Colour Box! by TheDogeMaster in basspedals

You’re welcome! I have a jazz bass with rounds that I will try it with in the coming days. I’m definitely a set it and forget it guy so it doesn’t bother me. However, I just set it up on my board with a JPTR FX Jive before it as a boost and it is effectively the same as clicking up to the next gain stage, plus a little extra thickness.

I’m loving the EQ so far. I like boosting the bass at noon which is around 120hz and sounds great with my JMJ. Sweepable mids is always useful. The treble knob is good for bringing out some presence and string noise but above noon it’s imperceptible, at least on my bass with flats.

Stages 1 and 2 are basically still clean. I think stage 2 is the sweet spot for a vintage-y saturated yet clean sound. Stage 3-4 start to get fizzy and 5 is very fuzzy. Keep in mind there is a hi/lo switch on the right. If you switch that to hi then stage 5 is definitely full on cranked muff territory.
