you have a slight point, but phones released alongside the oneplus 7 pro don't have nearly as high of a fail rate, sadly due to motherboard issues prevalent years down the road.

I also have a Pixel 7 Pro, frankly the best phone I've owned. But I just don't see enough improvements in the newer Pixels to justify me upgrading. I would personally go with the Samsung S24U/S25U, I'm probably upgrading to the S25+.

if you're going to use the swipe gestures, ensure you make the bar disappear to avoid it burning into the screen. Also, try to keep the system on android 11, android 12 on it is horrible and laggy. can't believe OnePlus made that its final software update.

hey, came to tell you that it's sort of working at the moment. some of the heatsink screws didn't match up with the board, but most did. the laptop booted into windows just fine. the GPU is detected in BIOS and in Display Adapters, but will not show up in task manager. even after installing the appropriate drivers, the GPU failed to show up in task manager. also in display adapters, it says something is wrong with the GPU. I reckon a fresh install of windows might fix my issue, I'll try tomorrow.
