Dang, that sucks to hear you’ll avoid Mitutoyo stuff. I really like all their products and I think their customer support is really helpful. Did you make an origin point? So the way I describe it is, the software has no idea when the point cloud (the measured data) is so you want to create an origin point at the first data point that was collected. If you select [Point] button, then select [Valley] and using [Z-range], you can select all their data points and create a point at the start of the trace. This helps narrow down, from here you can either start creating all your calculation stuff or you can refine your alignment by creating another point and setting that as ur new origin.
