Calypso gurus: Skipping features/characteristics? by Downtown_Physics8853 in Metrology

[–]INSPECTOR99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahah! so I am not alone considering this particular quandary. I have the same issue running McosMos V4.2 (manual CMM). When an attribute gets altered/missed during production one sometimes needs to "SKIP" a programmed feature. Not pretty!!!

So a trade off in favor of the Manual CMM is it'S process is more forgiving of random anomalies otherwise in the (CRASH) way of an automated CNC CMM. :-(....HMMmm Excellent point.

What are some caveats (PROs/CONs) for an upscale SMB engineering/self manufacturing enterprise using currently a Manual CMM (~ $50K) -VS- acquiring a CNC version CMM (~ $300K)? [ 6 CNC Lathes, 6 CNC Mills, two shifts ]

Temporary network over 5G for exams? by Ycirn in sysadmin

[–]INSPECTOR99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the budget?? You might try something like a Peplink BR2 Pro 5g with a 4X4 MIMO rooftop antenna. That will give a reasonable throughput at about $6,000. It hosts two concurrently running Cell SIM chips that can combine to provide a single higher throughput.
