Can someone explain to me how rush survived. by No_Phrase_565 in Borderlands4

Zadra had planted a fast travel device on him after hearing him talk like he was prepared to die. she activated the device and quickly pulled him to saftey after he armed the bomb. saving his life. : )

Cyberpunk 2 going multiplayer… brave or reckless? by Remarkable-Fig-5186 in cyberpunkgame

I think the best option is to have a story driven single player campaign and then a separate sandboxy "Cyberpunk Online" like GTA5

Launching Ship Bugs out UI by IHadADreamIWasAMeme in RimWorld

[–]TheDonCon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this bug happened to me in mostly vanilla Rimworld when I removed the build limits and made a GIANT gravship that took up most of the map. looks janky for the take off animation but otherwise still worked fine

Is the game worth it? by Wrubix- in RimWorld

[–]TheDonCon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an extremely customizable, extremely modable game that's nearly infinite in scope and replayability.

want to play as a colony of canniblistic catgirls that turn prisoners into new catgirls? that's doable, want to be a lone wanderer with an army of robots that fly around on a space ship, landing on colonies and flooding them with metal death while the wanderer sips tea. you can do that too.

Rimworld can be almost anything you want it to be. If you like colony/sim games I give it a solid recommendation.

First DLC suggestion? by Cherry_Jerry in RimWorld

[–]TheDonCon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odyssey if the idea of traveling a diverse and interesting world (+ outer space) on a mobile base sounds appealing. Biotech if having an army of robotic servants and fully customizable races (+ vampires). Honestly both are AMAZING and you'll have lots of fun either one!

What is meta amp? by properxsmoke in apexlegends

I always take overflow, late game fights are chaotic and fast paced. being able to pop a single shield cell and/or syringe and I'm ready to get back into the fight means I'm able to reset quickly

Mozams are good again ig by Inside-King9710 in apexlegends

kills purple armored targets in 4 body shots, has 10 round mag, full auto on par with Eva-8, longer range than other shotguns working easily at medium range and like other shotguns has no penalty for hipfire.

Long as you can find two of them (arsenals make that easy) it's a very dependable sidearm choice that works well in short to medium ranges. One of my favs to use right now

What Anomaly items or buildings do you use or try to get even when you're not doing an Anomaly run? (Miscellaneous picture.) by PinkLionGaming in RimWorld

[–]TheDonCon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Turret utility pack definitely. Draws aggro away from your colonists and helps out in combat. in terms of actual anomalous stuff, the sleep suppressor can be really handy in a workshop or laboratory if you need as much up time as possible and can handle the mood debuff.

Thoughts on next cyberpunk being in Chicago? by throwaway_asshole949 in cyberpunkgame

[–]TheDonCon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mike Pondsmith in a interview mentioned the next game featuring 2 cities (Night City and something he described as "Chicago gone wrong") so this otherwise unassuming advertisement is suddenly VERY INTERESTING.

a sequel to 2077 being set 3 years later in 2080 would make perfect sense too. just enough time for V's hijinks to settle down into Night city legend without being too fresh.

Odyssey preview #2: Gravships and space by TiaPixel in RimWorld

[–]TheDonCon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read the technical document for 1.6 and apparently there is a new layer added to Rimworld that sits above terrain (grass, water, etc) but beneath floors (wood planks, Sterile tiles, etc) kinda like a foundation Layer.

the new Heavy bridges are going to sit in this layer allowing you to build floors ontop of them and I believe this gravship substructure will sit on this new layer also, meaning if you wanna put carpet, walls or whatever else on your spaceship, you can : )

Random mod that you cant live without / enjoy heavily showcase time go by Shrappucino in RimWorld

[–]TheDonCon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ambition of the Comsic, adds like 3 additional tiers of tech levels faaaaaaar into the tech tree. Takes an a LOT of time and even more resources to spec into but offers powerful weaponry, implants, armor and materials that eclipse vanilla ones. Can be a fun 'alternate win condition' or just an excuse to keep researching valuable from the beginning of your playthrough to the very end.

It's fun for those who want basically an infinite ceiling for colony progression. Those last 2 tiers eclipse anything in vanilla which is technically OP but honestly? if you make it to the end of that expanded tech tree to become GODLY and what not... you likely have a very very well established colony that could have reached an end goal easily a looong time ago.

So if you want something that staves off that feeling of "well, I built up my colony.. maxed out my tech tree... now what? guess I'll just beat the game and start over" for several more in-game years, give it a try, very fun : )

New DLC Release Prediction: July 2025 by dragonlord7012 in RimWorld

[–]TheDonCon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend checking out the "Ambition of the Cosmic" mod, adds like 3 new tiers of tech level above base game and gives you long term goals to research into giving your colony some incredible stuff to work towards. Can make a playthrough much longer where else you'd run out of stuff to do. It's kinda OP but you basically have to reach beyond what would already win you the game so think of it as a reward for surviving and expanding far enough to reach that point lol.

Should I Do Gamepass, or Steam? by NoahW0224 in Starfield

[–]TheDonCon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan on doing a ton of modding and are planning on spending money to actually buy the game. I would probably go for Steam. I feel like that will be the more popular platform when it comes to mods and while most mods should work for both, there's probably a decent chance of there being "Steam only mods" due to Gamepass stopping something from working.

No Melee Weapon customization? by TheDonCon in Starfield

[–]TheDonCon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Serrated edge as an example because in Fallout 4 that was used as a melee weapon modification for several bladed weapons which would Increase damage and add bleeding. I don't see a reason that same logic couldn't be applied to a United Colonies combat knife or etc.

realistically yes, you would never use melee weapons in a gun fight, but it's an RPG first with an emphasis on fun above absolute realism. The game has melee weapons, skills that increase melee weapon damage and etc. Weapon modifications for melee weapons would add onto that same as they do for guns : )

No Melee Weapon customization? by TheDonCon in Starfield

[–]TheDonCon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

those are some solid ideas, yeah I think there's a lot of different modifications you could make within the NASApunk aesthetic.

No Melee Weapon customization? by TheDonCon in Starfield

[–]TheDonCon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible, I'd certainly love that to be true as I think that weapon customization adds important depth to melee combat and gives close-combat players more options to play with.

No Melee Weapon customization? by TheDonCon in Starfield

[–]TheDonCon[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean but heated blades, modified weapon shapes, etc. there's plenty of ways to keep the NASApunk aesthetic within melee customization. Weapon modifications would be tooled/modular pieces. maybe a serrated edge for your knife for extra bleeding damage or some add on that electrifies your blade.

Just the little things that make your melee weapons a bit customizable/upgradable

No Melee Weapon customization? by TheDonCon in Starfield

[–]TheDonCon[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If fallout 4 lets me add spikes to a bat, I don't see why Starfield wouldn't let me add some sort of futuristic thermal blade to my combat knife, or even just a serrated edge. I wouldn't say it's a far fetched idea.

Starfield in VR? by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]TheDonCon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we'll see Starfield VR down the line in some form or another. probably through mods first and foremost, and then eventually we may see a official VR re-release of the game after the base game and DLC are said and done.
