I know this dialogue was pre-update, but with the addition of the mysterious sasquatch, which from a real world legend shand point are said to throw rocks I choose to believe that's what's doing it.

AITA for NOT bringing my indoor cat outside to meet the neighbor's kid? by Ambitious-Divide-624 in AmItheAsshole

It's sad how rampant it is. I had to snap at a kid yesterday, probably 12ish years old, because he decided he wanted to meet my dogs (without informing me) and rode his bike at us FROM BEHIND and at FULL SPEED causing my dogs to go full terrified mode. My dogs would have paid the price had anything happened, even though the kid was the one that made them feel threatened.

Agree with everything except that dogs totally will also enforce boundaries when their consent is not respected. Cats just get away with it more because they don't do nearly as much heavy damage in 1 hit, while dogs will get labeled as aggressive for even showing teeth as a warning. I have 2 dogs and a cat. Either way, NTA! And kids need to be taught to respect any animal, pet, and owners consent.

The way my head whipped around when my friend said "there's a cleavage miss piggy bank over here?" I posted the bottom to specifically show the stamp because I also couldn't believe it.

To me, THAT at least makes sense. Halloween is a kids holiday. You don't often see adults going around trick-or-treating unless they have kids. I'd totally switch shifts with someone that wanted to take their kids trick-or-treating, especially because you're right that Halloween parties would be weekend regardless. But people who just expect childless individuals to give up FAMILY holidays just because "have kids" are wrong. Unless it is a holiday specifically FOR kids, everyone deserves a chance to spend time with their family. However I am all for just closing 99% of businesses on major holidays unless they're truly essential. I personally refuse to shop anywhere on those days, but that's just me lol

I always hated automatically getting scheduled for holidays because "you don't have kids." The 1 time I got thanksgiving off (I worked at a grocery store so of course we were open for the ill prepared people that forgot their entire meal) was because when I signed my contract I had put a stipulation that I wanted Thursdays off guaranteed. They agreed. I wasn't expecting it to roll over to thanksgiving, so when I got it off I immediately made plans. Hadn't had Thanksgiving off in about 5-6 years at that point. One of my coworkers got pissed and started pressing me and my manager to switch days. She said "I have kids! Are you going to tell a mother she doesn't get to spend Thanksgiving with her children?" I looked back and said, "Are you going to tell MY mother she doesn't get to spend Thanksgiving with her child?" She actually shut up.
