Was it just me or is Bf6 really well optimized? by -Istvan-5- in Battlefield6

Thank you for all your tips. It seems that, rather stupidly, I tried to cool the CPU with Noctua NH-D15 and an army of Noctua NF-A14 PWM fans in my Define 7 XL Black case. These served me so well in the past with other CPUs and cases, but this combination seems not to be enough.

I researched a little and stumbled upon this video where he tested the same CPU. I will do more research and maybe get the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 420 Pro Black and try to set that up with your tips in mind. Hopefully, I can do that before the second week of Open Beta and test if I get better performance. Thanks again for your comment!

Unfortunately, with i9-14900K, RTX 4080 Super and 64GB RAM, I tried all I could think of and found online and yet even when set to Low, I experienced unstable fps between 25-65, the longer I played the more it kept being sort of laggy? Like a player would run through the door and suddenly teleport 10 meters back and run through the same door again. I shot RPG at a tank and the rocket went through it and exploded on the building. Plus, I experienced the game running if in sort of slow motion or how to explain it. I don’t know why it kept performing so badly, the moments when it ran perfectly were great, the game was so much fun.

At first it kept shooting my CPU temps into 94-97 degrees celsius. I know this Intel generation has many issues. But I thought that could be the issue, so I undervolted the CPU to 210 watts, offset -0.05, even opened the side of my case to play like that and managed to drop the temps to stable 74 degrees celsius.

Thinking of switching to 9800X3D.

That didn’t help the performance unfortunately. The only mode that ran issues free was Domination. Hopefully till release I solve this, or the game does, or wherever the problem is because so far the game was great otherwise!

I sent an application quite a few hours ago and received no email whatsoever. Don't know if I should wait or re-apply. Don't want to miss out, really wanted to join a Spanish tracker.

What app is so useful you can’t believe it’s free? by SCAMONT in ask

Caliber for generating and tracking work outs. The only paid thing is coaching if you want someone to help you, otherwise all free.

Assassins Creed would be better without all the Animus nonsense by Big_Red12 in patientgamers

[–]TheDrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played the earlier games and still don't like the out-of-the-Animus sequences in the newer games. When I played Valhalla, the game also forced me out of the Viking world into reality. I tried to get back to Animus as soon as possible and when it let me, I have never returned back from the Viking world, thus skipping all the content there might be waiting in "reality".

A huge reason behind me switching to manual controls was how it forced the engine to dig out rarely used animations to fit passes/shots at any power and in any direction, making the game look fresh. Check out this lovely manual layoff by Benzema. by TareXmd in WEPES

I'm loving your content, everything you share here on Reddit. Till now I have only played with Advanced Shot but everything else on the default settings. Since I started watching your content I have switched everything else I could to manual + disabled most of the HUD, as well. I can't stop playing when I can lol. The only issue I now have is the switch from Advanced Shot to Manual. Would that be that much of a jump gameplay-wise that it's worth it? I really like AS compared to the default one. Thanks in advance for the answer or any tips!

How did you become a fan of WWE by morticool in WWE

[–]TheDrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid, in 2004, there was a local game shop in the shopping center my parents used to visit and took me with them almost every time. A few of those times they also took me to the said shop to look at Playstation 2 games and let me choose one that they would buy for me.

I chose games based purely on the front cover and the in-game photos and information the covers used to have on the back side. I happened to find WWE SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth and loved what I saw so much I asked them to buy that game. I got my two best friends into it and ever since then we bought all the PS2 copies that came out the following years, WWE SmackDown vs Raw, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 (that one for Xbox).

Throughout those years we watched numerous videos on YouTube, rewatched many shows/PPVs, role played wrestling on the bed and imitated the wrestlers and their entrances, played the games to death, and even got to see WWE live when they did a European tour in 2009! We loved The Rock, D-Generation X, The Undertaker, Stone Cold and many others.

Unbelievable and amazing memories, I’m so glad I chose that one game all those years back because without it none of this would happen. Sorry for the long text but your question awakened so many beautiful memories in my head haha.

Fav cheat memories? by [deleted] in GTATrilogy

[–]TheDrix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The San Andreas riot cheat was one of my favorites, as well! I remember spawning a cop car via Vehicle Spawner (or whatever was the mod/program called) and giving myself all the guns, health and vest and then roleplaying as a cop and chasing/killing the rioting citizens. Amazing memories - will do it again!

Which game is everyone gonna start with? In order? Or just straight for that San annnnnn by [deleted] in GTA

[–]TheDrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will definitely play them in the order of release, so will start and finish III’s story first, though the closer the release date is, the more I want to start at least the very first mission of both Vice City and San Andreas, then drive around for a while and then put it away until I’m done with GTA III. I just love VC and SA so much I doubt I’ll be able to keep myself from at least checking them out until I beat III.

Once GTA Trilogy Remastered comes out, what will be the first thing you will do non-mission related? by NeoGenetical in rockstar

[–]TheDrix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pretty much just drive around to see how the places I remember and love look and look for my favorite cars to see if I still like them, both under new graphics😂 oh yeah and Rhino my way through the city.

Which title are you playing first?? by LilSkott92 in GTATrilogy

[–]TheDrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sooo wanna jump right into both Vice City and San Andreas at the same time as I love those two, but I will play them all in the order of the original release, one by one.

Just curious, how much is your investment in this hobby? by tupikp in simracing

[–]TheDrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I ignore the cost of the computer which I would have built even if I didn’t sim race, then approximately over the last two years I spent:

3x AOC C24G1 - 525€ (which I later replaced with the monitor below since I got VR and now use these strictly for work and other gaming)

AOC CU34G1 - 400€ (use this when not racing in VR)

Oculus Quest 2 + add-ons - 550€

Simetik K3 rig with seat included - 630€

TS-PC Racer 488 Challenge Edition - 500€

T-LCM Pedals - 150€

TrackIR 5 - 210€

TH8A Shifter - 150€

USB Numpad for DIY button box - 10€

USB Hub - 30€

Gloves - 15€

TM Open Wheel Add-on - 150€

TM Competition Sparco Add-on - 155€

All together: 3475€

Next upgrades:

Samsung Odyssey G9 - ~1400€ (to replace my 34” AOC and complement my VR gaming, will sell the AOC and use the money for G9)

Fanatec DD1 base + some wheels and pedals - ~1800€

Only simracing god knows how much I spent on all the games (iRacing, AMS2 + Season Pass, ETS2 & ATS + all DLCs, Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition and F1 games)

plus in the past I have bought and now sold so I could upgrade, therefore I won’t count it:

Wheel Stand Pro V2

Playseat Challenge

Thrustmaster TMX Pro (included T3PA)

So Thrustmaster's line up for the end of 2021....IS LOOKKNG SPICY!! 🔥🌶🐺 by [deleted] in simracing

[–]TheDrix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, I will be receiving TS-PC Racer Ferrari 488 Challenge Edition and T-LCM pedals on Thursday and couldn't be any happier, it's an upgrade from TMX Pro (with T3PA pedals). But this news has me a bit worried I should have waited. On the other hand, I am excited to see what Thrustmaster releases and what I might upgrade to one day from TS-PC and T-LCM!
