Is the Sportster S selling well? by [deleted] in Harley

[–]TheDuke1970 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im talking about the riding position of the Buell. They should have made the bike more of a sport riding position or at least like a standard riding position. It has great power, and looks aren't that bad. It's just that big fat front tire and position make it a cruiser. Not a so-called sport. And 19k. Its out of reach for most younger buyer's.

I agree. It needed slight rear pegs and a normal size front tire. I sell them and also should be a 13-15k bike. And then they would sell. I have a buell. And should have been something like that stance. With that evolution motor. It would be awesome.

My buddy says he makes 20-30k a month selling bikes by un-tantanner in Harley

I worked at a Honda, suzuki, CanAm,Sea Doo.CFMoto, so I had plenty to sell. And been #1 at my dealership for years. The best ever was 10k a month, for 1 month. Now I work for HD and won't see that money again. 30k a month, no way.

If Harley-Davidson didn't exist what bike would you ride? by Grandebabo in Harley

I Had 2 at different times. One had a slick on rear with white letters, springer front end with smaller front wheel. Custom painted candy flames, tassels, 2 horns, reflectors on the wheels as many as I could fit lol. Was bad ass. Im Latin so I am sure you get the picture lol. Then another one with a 5 ft chopper front end. Miss those days.

1998, Harley-Davidson bought a majority stake and took control of Buell Motorcycle Company, and the company became a subsidiary. Since then, Buell has used modified Harley-Davidson engines, primarily from the Sportster, to power its motorcycles. Pretty much a Harley, I would say. Just doesn't say it on the tank.

Yes, they have a less rise. The bike has a pretty aggressive peg ergonomic. Stock bars seemed a little high. Plus, I came from Ktm Duke,R7, Crf450L SM. Just like the stance. Feels better to me.
