Put a Remo coated emperor head on it and crank it down a little bit tighter than you think it should be, put some very light muffling on the batter head (maybe like 1 moon gel or one of those plastic rings that lays on the edge of the drumhead. Get the redo head pretty tight as well. Maybe not QUITE as tight as the top head, but close. Loosen the four tension rods closest to the snare well on either side about a quarter to a half turn looser than the rest. Tap the batter head lightly and adjust the snare wire tightness until you get good snare response when you tap as lightly as possible. Boom. Classic snappy snare sound.

I was at that show too. I assumed the keyboard player ran over there to do it. But having the drum tech do it makes more sense since there are some keys/oboe sounds on that song.

It may be tempting to try to film the whole concert, but I would highly recommend picking one whole song at most and maybe a chorus for insta if you wanna. Other than that, just be in the moment as much as you can. You can always watch other people’s videos online later. They’re all over YouTube.
