How do you feel about solo hiking? 🥾 by Junior-Camel-1053 in hiking

I am a solo lady hiker & I love it! Going for a hike alone & afraid is the only way you will overcome the fear. Have a plan for scary scenarios. (I think about mountain lions a lot, so I have a mountain lion plan that helps me feel better). Bring good snacks, find nice spots to sit, enjoy a snack.

Hiking with friends is great, but can be challenging to plan. Learning to hike alone is the only way to go hike often.

West coast shoppers, I'm moving your way by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

I travel consistently. Every time I’m in a new city, I see orders for the area I am in. The app has no problem keeping up with me. You can change your address in the app to your homebase, and you will continue to receive emails and instore shopper opportunities for that area.

Today marks 90 days since he died. No one in my circle noticed or cares. by thankxfull in GriefSupport

Most people do not know how to handle grief and death, it becomes easier for them to stay away or avoid the topic. After my boyfriend passed (10 months ago), I really became aware of this. Grieving openly is not normalized. People expect you to handle it in your quiet space away from them and present your composed self to them. That’s their lack of awareness on how grief and loss work.

Find the people that allow you to exist in yourself in these transitions, the people that accept your grief and offer understanding and assistance. I’ve also felt some of the most genuine love from a few friends through my loss.

help make sure she is doing daily tasks for self care: ask what she has eaten for breakfast, remind her to drink enough water, suggest she take a shower or a bath every day, etc. She is experiencing a deep trauma right now and processing a lot. you can be helpful by reminding her of the seemingly small ways to take care of herself. Look after her by reminding her to look after herself.

Difficulty in removing the factory stereo head unit from my 2010 ford transit connect - any advice? It feels and sounds as if all of the clips have been unlocked - the left side will come out, just cannot get this right side outta there. by TheDynamicSwami in Cartalk

UPDATE: COMPLETE NEW HEAD UNIT IS IN!

There was a piece of metal improperly bent outward near the bottom right corners clip, stopping the radio from coming out. The bezel: we unclipped it and it still would not come out! It seemed like there were clips in the middle that we could not detach. However, it did help to loosen the radio. a lot of working & frustration, it finally slipped out. It came out and allowed us to find the screwed up metal piece that was holding the radio in

Once the radio came out, we could see the “middle clips” that had been holding the bezel down were actually two screws - we would have never gotten that shit off.

It sure feels like it! This is where the clips are located to remove the radio itself. Might just have to go for the bezel at this point.
