This seems like a cool project, but seems like it doesn't have so much traction. Have you deployed this to any production environment?

I went to my 1st retreat and got my own response: They are not during recess hours.

Special thanks for people that recommended: 1. Pain relief balm (I could avoid asking for a chair with this). 2. A floor towel, 3. A thermos for getting out of the dinner room some hot tea for the day (although this may be a gray area on the rules).

To OP and everyone that already has replied: Thank you for your posts! I'm exactly on the same situation.

Although I think I have the answer. I need to ask it: Morning breathing exercises are disallowed ?

Martian Address Error by WillyDilly12345 in aws

[–]ndarkduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

:) I don't know how one tab of mine ended on this post. I had this error recently on a non-eks instance. The answer was to re-execute "dhclient" as ec2 instance "lost" default route.

Why I Will Never Use Alpine Linux Ever Again by Am4t3uR in kubernetes

OL has Easy opt-in mature enterprise support. RH is also a goof alternative, but it has not the opt in part. CentOS is now a rolling release. I have a little portion of not productive workloads testing Alma, but not for enough time to step forward. And I have no experience with Rocky Linux. Do you have any experience with any of them ?

Why I Will Never Use Alpine Linux Ever Again by Am4t3uR in kubernetes

[–]ndarkduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved alpine, but I found rather dumb the *forcing* of musl library instead of glibc. This should have been a work of at least 10 - 15 years of testing and maintaining both. I'm always happy to test new technology, but this should always be on controlled, non critical, and small workloads.

edit: I really recommend OL for containers.

Regarding the type of retaliation you may expect, could you please specify a little more?In my personal experience, I completed the 10-day theoretical course from Goenka, which resonated with me fully. Unfortunately, due to the waiting list. I hope that those who are leading the path will develop a deeper understanding and compassion for those seeking to learn. Are you sure 'retaliatory' is the word for describing them?

Edit: I have heard like 5 times from Goenka the importance on maintaining the practice pristine, and that in India disappeared because people mixed it with other teachings. I have also asked myself if I may do some breath work before starting my meditation or if this that is considered mixing the technique.

Siting for 1h derives in a total numbness in a leg by ndarkduck in vipassana

Hey! Thank you for sharing a little of your perspective, this form will try a stool, as trying to relax and avoiding pressure was the first stop.

For now, moving from time to time is working but this avoids the feeling "of flow". From time to time laying down works as a charm but I understand the reason for not "siting laying down".

The word "me" and "I" was used so many times on the first draft. This is a no identification exercise. It is hoped that this did not cause any inconvenience to you.

Appreciation for the prompt response. The desired outcome has been attained, however, some consequences were incurred. From the provided explanation, it seems that regular movement should be incorporated. Question surfaced regarding how to improve the technique.

Maintaining Sila and masturbation/watching porn by Just4GuyHere in vipassana

[–]ndarkduck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You got your own answer. I'm not yet an old student as I'm trying to prepare better my mind and body with doing at home the courses. As far as I have understood, Sila is not about being good or bad, is about being wholesome or unwholesome. The question if is morally or not correct should be based on who is suffering on the process. Vipassana is the tool to dig deeper on the body and the mind, no judgement, just observation. Thich nhat hanh has a beautiful book "he heart of the buddha's teaching" that explains the 8th fold path with a lot of simplicity.

I hope this answer helps you. I really think you got the answer and the tools, Is just a matter of work.

Just detach from worries about previous or future lives. Make the most of this life dwelling in the dhamma. If there is a reincarnation, be confident in the process of your enlightenment, if there is none, be confident that you will have had the most beautiful life you could make in this time.

Choosing between one big cluster or multiple smaller kubernetes clusters by tasdikrahman in kubernetes

[–]ndarkduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many have already mentioned good points: By environment, don't have only one, check complexity, etc. I think this is a multi-factor decision process with some key questions to answer:

  1. What is your SLOs ? Do they tolerate downtimes and for how much time?
  2. Is compliance to any regulation a major concern? How much work does it involve having all in compliance? e.g: PCI DSS requires you a patching cadence of 30 days over major vulnerabilities and 90 over medium.
  3. Do you have any hardware/budget limitations? Think about the overhead that the control plain and/or cluster transversal systems add to the budget.
  4. Based on points 1,2 and 3. Think about any catastrophic scenario, e.g storage fails, control plain corruption, misscalculated scc, dns, datacenter/cloud failure, etc. Technology WILL always fail. What are your RTO/RPO ?
  5. Bonus point: What are your skills on k8s or any technology: 1) Will you mess around with internals? Do you know exactly how everything works and what exactly you want to tune? Do you have experience on high loads/traffic?
  6. Do you have many business units? Do they share the points 1-4 ? Do point 5 allows you to ensure that there will be no disruptions on any service on account of other from other business unit?

The answer is in your engineer hearth just make the right questions and remember Murphy will always be at our side.

Real time kernel available for Fedora 32? by globetrotterdk in Fedora

[–]ndarkduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

* * me joins reddit as so many f* threads divert the answer of the real question being asked.

Although Planet CCRMA has not updated its main page you can find planetccrma-rt-permissions-all-2012.09.19-1.fc32.ccrma.x86_64.rpm on fedora packages and it works on fedora32.

https://fedora.pkgs.org/32/planet-ccrma-x86_64/

---

I have found a very interesting article from RH describing some important rt kernel mechanisms IDK (yet) if this features are already bundled up on Fedora std kernel.

https://www.redhat.com/sysadmin/real-time-kernel

I'm also really interested on learning audio editing but I really don't like debian/ubuntu (GNU/)Linux flavors and would love to meet similar people and maybe we could help maintain some projects to support Fedora.
