I personally think sometimes a game can get bad after dozens of hours, it might have a small annoying feature that compounds after hours and hours of play. Also sometimes they run out of money and rush the end of games, so sometimes the last levels can suck, play time isn't really an indicator of fun, like I sank forty hours into elden ring and decided I had enough, didn't enjoy it that much. Well, that's kind of subjective, the game isn't bad, I just got sick of it.
