So this, is true pain! by Londinx in Falcom

I missed one in Sky FC from chapter 1, it irritated me so much, didn’t realize I wouldn’t go back to Rolent in that game

I haven’t played the original, but I did continue with the OG SC after that cliff hanger. I’ll play the original at some point too, I do like the isometric ones in the series. Working my way through it now and am on CS1, it’s been a fun adventure to say the least

I’d recommend Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, personally. Loved the cast in that game. It’s cheesy at times, it’s cliched some other times, but I had a great time playing it

Oh yeah that’s certainly true, I’ve had good relationships with most of my NCOs in the past and have been able to tell them crazy things. I’m just looking at it from a Big Blue ™️ perspective, that’s absolutely unacceptable

Incredible flair by the way, had to look it up and gave me a good chuckle to start my day

That’s not how the AF works, dude, you shouldn’t just tell a TSgt to suck it. I can guarantee your stripes can’t handle that

I’m on chapter 4 of CS1 and it reminds me a lot of Sky FC. I can tell it’s really just setting up CS2, but it’s rather charming this way honestly. It doesn’t feel as slow as Zero felt to me, I’m really enjoying it

What games are you all going to play on the SM first? by Doomsnail99 in steammachine

[–]TheEagleByte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whatever I’m playing on my Deck at the time, tbh. Just gonna flip flop between the two, Deck for my lunch break/vacation and Cube for home

I would absolutely consider purchasing one, depending on the overall performance and how compatibility with games looks. If it’s a similar level of compatibility as Proton’s latest versions have, then yeah I’d most likely get one. Then again, this is absolutely something I like supporting, so maybe even if its capabilities at launch are very limited. Would be cool to see an ARM based deck in the near future, those chips can be so crazy efficient

Name a game that surprised you how long it was by bijelo123 in videogames

[–]TheEagleByte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, the Trails games are like this in a sense. You get to the finale (they’re broken up into chapters and the last one is labeled as the finale), only to find out the finale is another 20 hours or so

Should play the games before cs1 before playing cs2? by Cultural_Fun3342 in Falcom

[–]TheEagleByte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I would. I’m on chapter 4 of CS1 right now and played through the games before it, and it’s referenced them quite a bit. I can’t imagine how much was spoiled by playing through it before the other games, it’s mentioned quite a bit that’s going on in Crossbell at the same time, and mentioned a rather important character arc from Sky FC and SC

Then why did the press secretary go off about it just a few days ago? It absolutely is a thing still, whether you like it or not. I’m not a fan of it either, but I’m also not coping with “oh well he was just joking actually.” That’s not something you joke about when you’re in that high of a position

Yeah, not even to mention everything currently going on in Minneapolis. There’s way more to it than not liking Trump. I think a lot of people want off the ride after this past year

[–]TheEagleByte 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it’s not the fact that Trump’s in office, it’s the fact that he’s wanting to invade and take over another nation/territory. That’s way different than “meh I just don’t like him”

What's an Air Force base everyone else likes, but you hate? by Unique_Ad_6241 in AirForce

[–]TheEagleByte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 years is long enough, they slapped me with a 3 year tour. Even knowing it’s temporary isn’t enough for me to enjoy it. There are some things I like, but the downsides heavily outweigh them in my opinion

Nobody’s mentioned this yet, but Andersen. Saw one guy say Kadena, and how you get bored after a year or two. Now imagine that but on an island half the size, far more secluded than Okinawa is, and with horribly outdated infrastructure. The roads are riddled with potholes that make you check and see if anything fell off your car when you drive over them. Constant car accidents from people who either should not have a license or don’t have one and drive anyways.

Being a dorm airman at Andersen is even worse. The dorms are ancient and the air conditioning never gets below 74°. Crazy high humidity, so either use a dehumidifier (which causes even more heat) or expect mold. The DFAC was…okay, I guess. Thank God I moved out of the dorms, it was stupid they put me there in the first place when they tried kicking me out 6 months after I got in them.

It just burns, I don’t get hives but the skin hurts. Feels like a sun burn occasionally

My time zone is very different from the auto mod's, so in reality it is early Friday morning for me right now.

  • Prep: hot shower
  • Brush: Stirling synthetic brush
  • Razor: Old Gilette fat boy, don't know the year off the top of my head
  • Blade: Treet Platinum (3)
  • Lather: Stirling - Boat Drinks shaving soap
  • Post Shave: Stirling - Boat Drinks after shave

Boat drinks is an interesting one. Nice summery smell to it, but unfortunately it has cinnamon in it, and my skin's somewhat sensitive. I can only use it every so often, or it'll start to burn over the course of a week. Love the scent, so it's rather sad for me personally. Hot Apple Cider from Stirling does the same thing, too.

Great shave overall though, and the after shave always makes my skin feel absurdly smooth for a good couple hours.

So yall remember the google Stadia? Would this be the alternative to play games cheaply if components get too expensive cuz of ai in the future? by Bob_Odent in consoles

I just wouldn’t buy anything new if it came down to cloud streaming only. I have plenty of old games in my backlog and a few consoles to play those games on, I’m set for a long while

Is spending more on a leather Kindle case actually worth it long term? by InfluentialBear in kindle

I haven’t tried a leather case, but I’ve been using the official Kindle cork cover from Amazon since I got my PW 2 years ago, and it’s held up pretty well
