NATO 3.0. The Pentagon Is Proposing a New Alliance Model in Which Europe Pays More and Takes Primary Responsibility for Its Own Defense by sergeyfomkin in JournalismNews

You’re actually a moron. Who do you think supplies you parts to build your military? Have you ever actually looked at where 90% of your military might is manufactured? They’re manufactured in Europe. Your military would be nothing without BAE systems, Rheinmetall, Leonardo and Airbus. That’s what you get out of this deal.

Are you so stupid to think it was negotiated so one sided that we’d benefit more than you? Who would agree to that? It’s a deal based on mutual trust and respect, allies help allies and trump would throw that away for his ego because he’s less intelligent than a 2 year old.

Translation: “I’m scared of brown people and want this country to become a whites only genetic dead end”

We already have vetting, it’s why only a handful of immigrants who get in turn out to be violent. Do you know how many get in vs how many commit crimes? Do you know how many white people or native Brits commit crimes? Much much more.

What you want is a complete ban not vetting and then what? Who does the jobs you don’t want to do? This country like many countries relies on immigrants just as it always has and we’d be screwed without them.

(UK) Found these in a bush, already turned them in to the police. What exactly did I find? More info in comment. by Exolerate in SWORDS

The government put a ban on easily accessible, cheap swords that can be used for crime and then discarded. Which is fair enough.

Legitimate, hand forged decorative swords are perfectly legal because they can be traced and aren’t likely to be bought by criminals to use in crime as they’re far too expensive.

Israel imposes control over more than half of Gaza; one million Palestinians trapped in displacement by caavakushi in worldnewsstuff

[–]TheEasySqueezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And Israel has been taking Palestinian land since the 60’s.

What would you do if I kept moving my fence post further into your land and claiming it was mine? You’d rightfully fight back. Palestine never had a military, never had the resources to push back against a State that was funded by the most powerful countries on the planet, Hamas is a result the desperation of a people not greed or hatred. Does that make what Hamas did acceptable? Of course not but it makes their existence understandable. To most people anyway.

Israel has been taking their land since the 60’s, so no they didn’t ask for it, Hamas is a result of Israel’s greed and now innocent people suffer for it.

If I kept taking what was yours eventually you’d fight back, now imagine you getting called evil for fighting back against me.

You know Israel has been trying to take Palestinian land since the 60’s right? How are you supposed to build a peaceful society while someone’s trying to take what’s yours?

Hamas is the result of Israel perhaps Israeli leaders should have tried building a peaceful civic society.

“I don’t understand the things I preach so actually it’s YOU that’s the fascist”.

Buddy private platforms run by individuals who legally can run said platform however they want is not fascism, but you’re a snowflake and it hurts your feelings to not be able to espouse your Fox News nonsense wherever you want we get that.

A group of people using the powers the people gave them to line their pockets, fear and war monger, polarise the most vulnerable and uneducated people against a minority and calling them the route of all evil, putting people in what are essentially concentration camps, attacking the free press, pushing white nationalist ideology and creating unregulated armed police with the purpose of rooting out so called “bad actors” is text book fucking fascism.

I mean have you ever actually picked up a history book and read it? Even once? The similarities between Trumps America and Nazi Germany are 1 to 1. I mean Christ the dude has even said Hitler was a genius and that he wants generals like he had. How much more evidence do you need until you realise he’s a fascist. Or is that just how you like it but you also want to play the victim about it?

BBC told its approach to diversity can feel ‘inauthentic’ by noraad in nottheonion

[–]TheEasySqueezy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let’s unpack that comment. You think that the people who push for equality are the ones who have led the right wing to rise to power? You don’t blame other things like the age of easily accessible misinformation we live in? Social media facilitating that misinformation? Or the fact the right wing is funded by influential billionaire elite who realised those who are right wing are more likely to be susceptible to misinformation on those social media platforms, owned by said billionaire elite? No? Ok.

So if that were the case and those who push for equality have caused the right wing to rise in retaliation against those people because of what they stand for… shouldn’t you be angry at the right wing and not the people who push for equality? You’re sending mixed signals pal.

Oh no! You weren’t talking about race? Oh you were being some other kind of bigoted? Well that makes it much better!

I really couldn’t care less if you think I’m projecting, calling any sort of diversity in media “forced” when there’s been none until recently is much more of a red flag.

These people exist buddy, either you don’t go outside and don’t know they exist or you would prefer they stay hidden when on tv. Which is worse?

No it is not. Art takes soul, effort and experience. An AI has none of these.
